Gorgeous String of Pearls, Hearts, Donkeys Tail and Sedum Burritos! Finding the right place for them so they get the light they like has always been a challenge for me. We just moved from a very hot climate to a more coastal one, so I’m hopeful my hanging succulents will thrive under these more moderate conditions as I search for the best light for them. Your garden is an inspiration!

Hi there, you have a beautiful garden! I have few of these hanging plants. they are not yet hanging really. still new and growing but their new leaves are slowing coming out of the pot edge. I wonder....can water reach to the tip of the stem no problem when they grow really long like yours? I heard originally they grow like ground cover which makes me think their stems are looking for the ground to source water. I want to grow my plants like yours :)
@Emshomesucculentgarden3 жыл бұрын
Hi welcome to my channel, I haven’t tried growing them on the ground yet. But I guess it will be fine as long as in a partly shaded area coz they can burnt easily. I don’t have problem with mine even at the end of the stem the leaf are chubby my only problem is the bird they pick the leaf. I’m sure yours will grow like mine too they are not fussy plant in my experience aside from just the leaf is fragile

@@Emshomesucculentgarden Sorry forgot to mention but they are string of pearls, var and non-var. I bought them air dried, any tips on how I should plant them? Should I cut the roots before planting? btw it's okay if you can't answer. Thank you!
@Emshomesucculentgarden3 жыл бұрын
Hi again Val, yes you can trim the old dead roots then plant it in a well drain soil but use a a soil mix that is slightly moist. Give it at least a week before you water to give the roots a chance to heal. If you have access of seaweed solution like Seasol it will help your string of pearls to promote stronger roots and helps your plants to deal with pest and heat and frost. I hope this help.
