May God continue to bless your endeavors. I know what you mean when speaking of the feeling you get when you see the day to day development. I'm not far from completion. I remember taking pics of some plants when it was first planted and they big bearing fruit. Hmmm. So much object lessons just by observing those plants. Grew up in the city and now as we say in Trinidad " Am ah real bush man now" Happy Sabbath.

It's great to see how the Lord has been leading n blessing your path. I have almost two acres with a nice house in Costa Rica with an awesome view on a hill, an I've experience some of your challenges. I like to sell it and move closer to my son, who live 30 miles away.

Why not get some zinc, perhaps you all could build a temporary roof on the container to catch water. 40 feet is a lot use every part of that container.

I love watching your progress. It is very inspiring. Another homesteading video talked about using a few goats to "mow" their acreage. Would that be helpful for you or not? Whatever you have to do, I pray God continues to bless you.
@AlohaCountryLiving4 жыл бұрын
Hello Terri-Karlene, Thank you for writing and sharing. It's a good suggestion. We've had some experience with goats at our last homestead. Based on this, we've decided not to use them again. We've found them to be very difficult to contain, and if they can find a way (they usually can), they will eat the food intended for the family and leave the weeds alone. We are however looking into tropical sheep (St. Croix). Nice to receive your message. God bless!

I'm so much impressed and excited after watching your video; :Aloha, Country Living," because of your courage and determination to go forward in faith to follow God's calling for His people to seek a place in country. And you are so blessed by God for leading you to that beautiful country place in Hawaii. For quite sometime now, I've been earnestly praying to God to help and lead me through His divine providence to find a place of His own choosing for my family where we could also settle down for good. I hope and pray that God will lead and bless me to find a country place there in Hawaii. If ever, you my brother and sister in Christ, know of any suitable and available place and at a reasonable price with at least 5 acres or a little bit more, please let me know, because right now, I'm so much decided to also move forward by faith, together with my family in the country as God provides. May God bless and protect us all always as we remain true, humble,faithful and obedient to Him until the end.

Question: can we use cows, goats and sheeps as lawn mowers? I mean, the Lord must have already designed some lawn mowers somewhere, right? And bonus, they produce milk and wool :-?

Blessings. Question. Is it possible for you to have a tiny home? And also you said that you would sell the container, but maybe instead you could build a structure or a guest room/house for family, guests or even RB&B. Can help you get some income? 🤷🏾 Just thinking. The tiny home community is growing. Sometimes less is more

Hello Esther. Well, I served God as a missionary for approx. 10 years with virtually no salary. Then I returned to school. I began to work a "real" job and invested just about everything in developing a property and building a home. After 8 years, God allowed it all to be lost (natural disaster destroyed basically everything we owned). Back to square one (no money). We started saving again two and a half years ago. We bought vacant land after two years of saving and searching. Now we pray and work and save to build a house. All that I have right now is simply from God's grace and very hard labor over the past two and a half years.

@@AlohaCountryLiving oh good, your family can live peacefully with God with the land. In the time of Sunday law ,no buying no selling time you can live in God with the things of the land. We are happy when we see our believers are moving to the country side,obeying the voice of God. God bless you and let us meet in heaven.
