When we lived in the country, we collected Black Walnut seed and put them in a bucket with screen over them. In the spring the seeds sprouted and we had walnut trees to plant. We planted three hundred trees in a ten acre marginal land. Today our son has a grove of black walnut logs to be harvested as money is needed after retirement. It is also an excellent location to hunt Squirrels durning hunting season. We loved our trees and also used the area for pasture for feeder calves when we wanted to raise our own meat.

Thanks for this beautiful walk in the woods. I can't do that anymore and I keep thinking a bench here would be great and one over there would be great hahaha. I would love to see Matt out on some land. He is doing better with the animals. Today he found out chickens eat snakes so they moved up a few steps in his outlook. My Father was cutting his yard using an old maybe from the 40's I don't remember. He was cutting the ditch along side the road. The tractor was tipped to the right and he had to jump off cause the tractor went over.😮 I didn't find out about until after the fact, scary. So be safe.

He tied his ropes and was pulling and the the tractor tipped backwards but kept upright because th tree had pulled out enough that it held the tractor up. YEP, my dad jumped off fast but here sat his tractor standing obits rear tires and the front tires in the air. SCARED all of us .

We've lived in our mountain home for 50 years, but watching your walks reminds me of the ones we used to take. No houses nearby, pathways and roads to let the kids ride the pony. Then, poof! 5 houses pipped up all at once! Still not neighborhood close, but it really changed the feel. Many of our old oak and pine trees had to be cut because of wildfire danger here in Northern California. It was heart breaking! Time goes by and evrything changes.

Just imagine a trail walk with blue berries, raspberries, blackberries, mulberries, strawberries, apple trees, pear trees, paw paw trees, and etc, to pick while walking along the trail. Plus you could have a roadside fruit stand with the extras for extra cash and have family time harvests with grandma, grandpa, the brothers and wives, and children. It would make an awesome family gathering.

I live in a small community in mid-pennsylvania and never tire of watching the trees change with the seasons. The dampness from the rain is necessary for the color changes. I have a pin oak in my yard that is growing by leaps and biunds. I love how straight it is and how it has such a variety of colors. Trees are so valuable for so many things, not the least of which is changing carbon dioxide to oxygen and cutting down the noise pollution. Love all your videos ❤

I love walking through the forest in autumn when the leaves begin to turn colours and start dropping. I love watching the dogs Narla the Princess and Herc the hero along with Spruce full of mischief 😂 and all the little goatlets and mamma goats and of course luigi. But the Guineas are just to noisy. I grew up on a farm in north central Illinois that had 42 acres of timber/cattle pasture. Mostly open area with a year-round creek. Lots of fun times with picnics, squirrel hunting, building forts, swimming etc.. Lots of hills to climb and motorcycle trails. What you need to help clear and maintain your trails is a Landscape rake attachment for the tractor. You could rake up the rocks and sticks and be able to pick it all up with the end loader to pile it all in bottom of ravine to keep erosion to a minimum. Also to make a little more cash sell bundle firewood at the roadside from an IBC tote cage. A little extra cash always helps.
