So it's my dad's birthday in a couple on Friday, in his honour, as a caring person, I went out and bought one of those pop up tents in a carry bag and put a new towel and some food and cushions in it and left it at my local shop area with a note saying it was for a homeless person, it only cost me about fifty bucks, and I'm sure it will be appreciated. I just always think of homeless people. Thanks dad for teaching me right from wrong and how to help people in need who have noone to turn to

I feel pretty lucky I guess to get to be here to hear this music that was mostly created during my lifetime ...some before I was born . I can see the ripple effect of what Dylan has done in the attempts made by more recent writers , singers and cover artists but nothing comes close to Dylan ...and he is still doing it 54 years after his first recording. His impact and contribution is historic and unequaled ..I just wonder what it is like to be Bob ?
@satersinc8 жыл бұрын
Very true, a lot of older artists as big as this tend to be great influences, just like bob had his. I'm also glad you're not one of the ignoramus' that think they're born in the wrong generation.

It probably wasn’t fun to be Bob Dylan, and he wasn’t as popular as The Beatles still, imagine him getting let off a little easier than the other. He really did pave the way for bad voices to have skin in the music game (not insult, genuinely respect because his songwriting talent shined through no matter what and people respected that much over everything else). I really agree with @satersinc. I’m sure Dylan would’ve wanted rock and roll to stay alive as much as the lot of us that wish the same. I wish John Bonham didn’t die, it is what it is. I’m still sure Bob Dylan feels lucky he wasn’t around for this generation of media in general - how shameless and annoyingly patient they are like sitting outside of celebrities houses all night. Led Zeppelin, The Beatles, Jimi Hendrix, Bob Dylan, Elvis Presley, even Frank Sinatra (biggest alleged playboy of them all) would not survive in this age of media.

."It's All Over Now, Baby Blue" You must leave now, take what you need, you think will last But whatever you wish to keep, you better grab it fast Yonder stands your orphan with his gun Crying like a fire in the sun Look out the saints are comin' through And it's all over now, Baby Blue. The highway is for gamblers, better use your sense Take what you have gathered from coincidence The empty handed painter from your streets Is drawing crazy patterns on your sheets This sky, too, is folding under you And it's all over now, Baby Blue. All your seasick sailors, they are rowing home Your empty handed armies, are all going home Your lover who just walked out the door Has taken all his blankets from the floor The carpet, too, is moving under you And it's all over now, Baby Blue. Leave your stepping stones behind, something calls for you Forget the dead you've left, they will not follow you The vagabond who's rapping at your door Is standing in the clothes that you once wore Strike another match, go start a new And it's all over now, Baby Blue.

+ abderrahim yamine........I'm so very sorry, I was almost certain I'd replied to you but comments have been known to disappear plus Bob's videos are forever being blocked here. As a lifelong Dylan fan (50 years of listening), I understand from his writings that he must be a well-read man but it's always nice to know the facts so I found your comment both interesting and helpful, thank you kindly. IMHO, Hard Rain is a classic composition which I always found so profound and rather incredible given Bob's age at the time but I was unaware of the origin of the song. The BEST part (obviously) was your singing for the class, good for you, VERY cool and a great memory to have. Thanks again for the info and apologies for my tardy reply, kind regards from Australia, Linda.
