Picture this: It’s the winter of 1890. The streets are covered in a blanket of snow, the air sharp and crisp as your breath forms clouds in the icy twilight. Lamps line the roads, their soft glow casting golden halos onto the frosted cobblestones. Inside, a different world awaits-warmth radiates from crackling fireplaces, the scent of pine mingles with the aroma of freshly baked treats, and laughter echoes softly through the walls. Families gather together, hearts brimming with the anticipation of Christmas morning. Yet, amidst the joy, there’s a tender melancholy, a quiet wish that this magical season could last forever. To transport you to this moment in time, I’ve created a playlist of classical pieces inspired by what people might have listened to back then. These melodies capture the serenity, wonder, and celebration of a 19th-century Christmas-a time before Mariah Carey’s All I Want for Christmas Is You or Brenda Lee’s Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree made their way into our holiday traditions. 😊 Each melody paints a picture of cozy interiors, festive cheer, and the tranquil beauty of winter’s embrace. Let this music take you on a journey to a time of simple joys, deep connections, and the enchanting spirit of Christmas past. So light a candle, pour yourself something warm, and let this playlist wrap you in its timeless embrace. May it fill your heart with nostalgia, joy, and the peace of the season. Wishing you and your loved ones the happiest of holidays. With love, Xoxo, DearVictorandVictoria

On the last day of November, we celebrate St. Andrew's Eve in Poland. The maidens predict an imminent marriage, we pour wax and line up our shoes and, as fate would have it, it is the last evening of good fun, when you can still go to a dance. 🥿👠👡🩰👢 I was drinking hot Arabica coffee roasted in mocha. It is grumpy, cold and rainy outside, but there is no frost yet. I also wish you, my dear, and all of you a successful and peaceful Christmas.

Any other theatre kids remembering that ONE dance partner you had who you could perfectly dance with, for the entirety of this playlist?
