It’s true, they recorded the song specifically because Danny Devito kept singing “Go For It” but that wasn’t actually a real song. So they created it afterwards to be playing in the club as he danced. Man I love this show & it’s been super fun watching along with you.

Fellow Eagle here! These are such good observations. Love these reaction videos. IASIP and The Office are two of my faves and it’s so much fun to see someone experience them for the first time. Fun fact, the song that Frank is dancing to in the club “Goooo, go for it, go for it!” is sung by Glenn Howerton and Rob McElhenney (Dennis and Mac). In the episode, you can see Rob McElhenney start to laugh and walk away as Danny DeVito dances and sings to the song. Also, each main characters’ name is derived from the actors’ name: “Mac”/McElhenney, “Dennis” or “Denn”/Glenn and obviously “Charlie”/Charlie. Dee was written before she was cast and not named for Kaitlin Olson.

Dennis is both a narcissist AND a sociopath. Though, they kind of go hand in hand because narcissists are completely incapable of actually caring about anyone else, which leads to sociopathic behavior. I just got out of a four year relationship with a malignant narcissist, and her behaviors mirrored the characters in this show in many ways. Constant need for validation, only concerned with themselves, extremely low self esteem, no control over substance abuse problems, and completely unwilling to identify anything about themselves that may be a problem. As funny as this show is, and as much as I love it, there are real people like this out there, and one of them almost drove me to insanity. Gotta stay away from those damn narcissists. They are dangerous.
