Can’t not wait to get this in the states. My Avante collection is the 2011 re released the Avante MKII. The comical Avante. Only need the Aero Avante. The 2001 most likely not going to happen

Wish people would leave "super/Avante/ MK i,ii,iii,iv,v,vi,vii etc,etc etc" off the cars title and just call it a TD4! It as nothing in common apart from being a car and 4WD to the "real Avante".

Told today by large US distributor TD4 & Opel - end of Nov Wild One , White Vaillant Porsche & USA1 - end of Dec . That is if you have pre-ordered in US

I would imagine the square spikes would have more support than the round spikes. Meaning that under load the spike won't fold over on itself and loose traction. The more support the spike/knob has the more chance it has to stay upright and bite into the dirt and have better grip. This is just my take from mtb tyres that when you have a side knob on a mtb tyre that has no support you can feel it squirm under you during cornering when it starts to fold over.

From what I am hearing you need to pay very close attention when cutting the body as the front left is different from the front right

7:10 I am not 100% sure, but i think Tamiya sold the moldingtool for the round spike tires to HBX. I have a set of round spike tires with the marking: Hai Bo Xing 53092 (front) and Hai Bo Xing 53093 (rear). That is the lettering on the tires! Why do HBX Tamiya HopUp numbers on his tires?

The Avante MKII wheels do not match a single decal on the entire sheet. I changed mine out to black wheels!

He hasn't done a build yet. Glenn from Tamiya Legends did the build but not the body yet. Maybe that's what you're thinking of.

The TD4 Chassis is certainly intriguing, and I'm glad to see Tamiya FINALLY making NEW stuff.... But I run everything. Something as mundane as fitting a Batry is SUCH A FAFF in these... I just don't know. ... Plus I'm still burning MAD about the Wild One shipping debacle - especially in the US! 😠😠😠

I didnt see a motor in the parts, is it missing or is the kit actually motor less? I have a few Tamiya's so have always been used to what comes in the kit. I'm not actually a fan of this model but I'd have liked a motor with it even if it was a silver can.

I do not like how the battery is installed in this car. However, it looks like Tamiya might offer another way to install the battery. If they do, I would be more interested in this kit. Thoughts?

It will fit in sideways across the chassis. The issue is the body will not fit. It could be possible to fit the TD2 Astute body on the TD4 but we don't know for sure just yet how much adjusting is required.

Depends what you are going to do with it. Vintage for a shelf queen or light use. Track running or weekly use, get the Super.

Great video, can’t wait to receive mine. What about matching the yellow on the body to the wheels instead. I think the fluorescent on the body would work well with the avante blue if backed in white.

Tamiya just beat the ugliest contest against the Big Wig . I bid on reliability issues as well ... The suspension travel is an other issue for an off-road vehicle . And as usual, overpriced all plastic construction.... For the same money , get a Turbo Optima !

The value for money on this kit makes me sick. You’re all excited about bearings and you didn’t even get a silver can. It pathetic really. Tamiya is going the wrong way. It’s really no wonder why all these rtr’s are doing so well. What you should really do is put this golden turd up against the Banggood specials. I would put money that they will drive circles around it.

@@butchmeister80 I’m confident that a wltoys would wipe the floor with this chubby thing. I bet it’s faster, stronger and way easier/cheaper to get parts for. Don’t get me wrong, I’m no hater of Tamiya. I have plenty of them. I just can’t stand how much money they’re asking for some plastic.
