Eh...not really? Maybe I'll pick up the game once the new Pantheons are revealed, really I was hoping for more than an HD remaster, which this game looks like from your vid here. Everything seems to be on the same engine and to me it just looks weird to see more modern graphics/textures with the stiff, dated physics engine that the original was working with (and yes I'm aware that the other age of empires games also did basically the same thing, they don't get a pass either) Doesn't mean that this game doesn't hold a special place in my heart, the soundtrack instantly takes me back to hours spent messing around with the map editor and playing custom online scenarios.

This was one of my most memorable RTS game wayy back in the day. Up there with Age of Empires II and Rise of Nations. I even still remember the atlantean main story ending 😂Glad to see it gets reimagined, the graphics looks lovely!

I loved the original AOM from 2002, and even bought the HD version a few years back with widescreen support and some remastering, but this new one is amazing and takes it to a new level.

This might sound nitpicky, but the Kraken is first found in 1700's Scandinavian folklore, not Greek Myth. The greeks did have a sea monster known as Cetus.

I suspect the highlight at 14:55 is a focus indicator, and is due to the game being developed for both pc and consoles (and thus has controller support). If you were using a controller I imagine you would have been able to move the highlight back and forth across the difficulty options.

Yes! I wanted to play the original with up to date everything. I’m not sure what everyone was expecting with a remaster. It seems a lot of people were expecting more? But personally, I really like what they did with this, brings home the nostalgia.

Does it have the pause option on multiplayer mode? Purchased AOM 4 but it didn't have that, so wasted my money ( phone calls and bathroom breaks happen) Does AOM RT have this feature?

@@arraybabe8514 If you’re playing Multiplayer Online or PvP, I don’t think you can pause in any games. You can pause in Single Player though.

I am not so sure if is amazing. The Corpses and Destructions desapear after 5 secs AND is possible to WALL your base using constructions INSTEAD OF USING WALLS, making it not apear as village, farm, town or a city as Intended (actually it looks like nothing haver done and it is ugly - soldiers could just jump windows or climb easily). For this, I say a lot of immersion was lost, something age 3 and 4 have done better.
