there's a farmer up where I am in canada years ago he just got fed up with all the new tech and how much it cost so he just said "NOPE" to GPS and honestly his rows are pretty bloody straight. so who's to say how much not having it costs him. But I will say When this solar storm hit. he was going everyone else had to stop And considering we got a blast of snow just to add problems to a pretty wet planting season he got a lot done in that brief time. And he did it with a smile on his face LOL.

I knew an old farmer when I was a kid in the 1970's and the rows in his summer fallowed fields were perfect with machinery from the 1950's and 60's. When you passed by the fields while driving down the highway, his stuck out. The Franken Farmers have been sold a lie, they're poisoning our food and the environment with chemicals and from what I'm told, to get very little extra yield. What they do grow is nutrition free garbage.

Seems to me plus or minus one whole row of corn per acre mit amount to a few thousand plants which amounts about a few thousand ears the difference on a hole for the harvest isn't going to make a difference by more than about 100 bushel basket so having that in mind I don't think they're saving themselves any money or making any money they just don't want to do the driving, I'm not a farmer but I am a tractor operator❤

@@isabelangelpirate1725 -- Nowadays, for something of that magnitude to occur would be extraordinary. What I mean by that is, we would metaphorically need to be caught with our pants down -- due to some closely-preceeding catastrophe -- in order for satellites to suddenly fail en masse. As we find ourselves approaching the start of the 2nd quarter of the 21st Century, I for one, think it'd be extremely unlikely given all the redundancies in place
@TamithaSkov7 ай бұрын
@@isabelangelpirate1725 No. Only LEO satellites below about 650 km are susceptible to this. The lower they are, the harder it is for them to recover. That being said, pretty soon there will be so many LEO satellites that they will be reentering quite regularly with or without a geomagnetic storm. How all that debris will affect our ionosphere and upper atmosphere is what truly concerns me.

Actually, it was the S2 radiation storm that I wasnt too happy about. But it was a trip I couldnt miss. I was a co-director of the Operational Space Weather Fundamentals School in L'Aquila, Italy. I knew all would be ok (outside of me glowing in the dark after the flight!). Big commercial planes have amazing inertial navigation systems (many are million-dollar Ring Laser Gyroscopes (RLGs) or Fiber Optic Gyroscopes (FOGs)) so that even if GPS and ADS-B signals get degraded or completely wiped out for minutes to hours, these systems still guide the planes remarkably well. I used to work on these systems a long time ago at Northrop Grumman. G5-storms arent all that brutal for many commercial aircraft.

dr. T. You’re very good at what you do continue moving forward always be plain and direct. Don’t sugarcoat anything ever if the viewers can’t handle it too bad with all the activity in my humble opinion I believe the Glock fault is getting ready to snap which is intern going to set off the San Andreas and we’re going to have a 9.5 off the San Andreas with the Glock fault will bring will probably be six point to seven. The severity of the girl of fault will be felt damaging destruction all the way to Utah, Idaho, Nevada both of these in concert setting off the San Andreas will rupture from Tijuana all the way past Modesto, California, and possibly farther the LA basin will have such a shockwave that it will bounce back-and-forth from the Santa Monica mountains to the Angeles crest mountains, and we will verberate like a bowl of cello so what doesn’t fall in the initial 95 will be thoroughly and completely destroyed in the aftershocks there will be nothing left. That’s the truth of the reality. I’ve directly on the San Andreas and Sylmar. I can tell you you feel it when it’s coming so need to be ready, I live in Henderson Nevada we’re gonna get whacked. This is my personal opinion I used to be able to tell you 15 minutes out when there was gonna be an earthquake on the San Andreas and I was always right. You just feel it.
