I'm glad someone else appreciates that there can be other art styles besides full realism and full anime. SNK needs to find its own signature style in the 3D era.

Preecha was supposed to be in the original Garou sequel that got cancelled. Hotaru originated form the original Garou, and it was Rock and Tizocs first game as well.

If you play against a competent player without knowing what you're doing, I can see people getting super salty against Terry feint cancel pressure, Grant damage, or just Kevin being Kevin. That said not a Kusoge but definitely not friendly to newer players.

Yeah, the fact that we're getting a new Fatal Fury. That we're getting a new Garou game at all, let alone over a quarter century later is surreal. Diehard fans died waiting for this come about. And you're right, they look more like comic book characters because they're shading with black, using halftone filters, and a number of other American comic book illustration techniques.

Ikr! Even though the project got greenlit a couple years back, I was still in disbelief. Still can't believe we'll be able to play a new Fatal Fury within a year.

Can't wait to Hard Edge (Rock's advancing elbow) my opponent at the local Denny's parking lot. He may be my No. 1 SNK character and is just behind Katalina Granblue (my current No. 1) as my No. 2 favorite fighting game character (which this game may change that fact)... well anyway, this game looks fun! Now, hopefully there's a beta soon... PS: Of all the Fatal Fury characters I do think Hotaru is perfect for you due to her fighting style

They've actually said in interviews Preecha is beginner friendly. But I want to play B. Jenet most as she's my Garou / KOF15 main.

@@Huntress_VT I'll be honest I'd have dropped KOF15 if B. Jenet hadn't come out. Because I was just struggling with the game and wasn't have much fun. She single handedly managed to get me to love SNK games. Just because her play style is a perfect fit for me.

So happy to see SNK back to making games and improving their visual style. New Garou looks great, can't wait to see more. As for some of your questions, ye Vanessa is a KoF original who debuted as playable in KoF 2000. And our anchor and savior dp-man is Khronen, hallowed be thy frames, whose dp will fix the economy, stop climate change, and save the world

Garou isn't a kusoge, its kinda just old. It isn't super broken fundamentally or anything, it had weird balancing, but ultimately wasn't HNK or even KOF 2001 levels of out of character. I actually really recommend it, mostly cause I'm a simp and love terry in it
