I love the image of the eventual result, but as a woodworker it was painful to watch. The rushing and not holding the saw plate even with the wood surfaces, was killing me and not employing a simple chisel and hand saw for refinement of cuts was AHHHHHHggggh. I have never been one to stress about this stuff and never yelled at the TV but today I did. 🙃

Why must you say stuff like that? Just let the process work itself out. Always always negative people who just cannot stand it when bad. Chad wants to learn something that he does not know how to do. How do we learn things by trying it and by doing it and not by watching someone else do it !! Derek got him pointed in the right direction and he’s doing what Derek tells him to do as it should be. That's an insult to amateurs. Even an amateur would have marked what needs to be cut, used wood tools and adjusted the ends of the crossbars instead of wildly cutting out pieces from the stronger parts in the back. I am just waiting for him to get the wood welder. But on the ither end: it's his car, he needs to be happy with the result.
