Great vid!, kangaroo leather is legal in most states, and according to some, one of the most ethical leather because kangaroos are seen more like pests in Australia, so they population control them so instead of letting the hides go to waste they make it into leather, plus a lot of soccer cleats are kangaroo.

Amazing, no shank! And I despise canvas lining. Leather's where it's at! I had some kangaroo Tony Lamas, early 80s vintage. Most comfy boots I've ever owned, After more than 20 years' worth of wear and resoles, the uppers wore through with a number of holes and I had to scrap 'em. Sweet looking repairs on those three pairs. As for that apron... at least spend for some Bick4 on that sad thang. LOL Glad you were able to get that mystery solved. God bless you, Steve, and Merry Christmas.

Steve, I'll tell you why people called workers don't perform their jobs properly 1, lack of training or 2, laziness, no self-responsibility. I've met many hundreds of workers personally in my previous job. In 40 years of interactions with them performing technical troubleshooting, I would also throw in a lack of accountability for poor work. And the worst are those who don't want to improve. Folks like you, wholesome and someone who takes pride in their work and their high ethics were a joy to meet.

This is why I buy blundstone red back or solovair boots. When they are done after 5 years. They are done. No repairs or crappy cobbler work to deal with. I wish that were not the case. I remember the days of great shoes, good leather that could be repaired and just kept getting more and more comfortable.

My absolute favorite is Stingray. (Nature's glitter) Before I moved to Houston, I stopped at my local feed and country Western Wear store to get some boots. After finding a reasonably priced pair to purchase, I was going through the sales section and came across a pair of black 100% stingray boots. Back in 2016 they were $600 and the thought of spending that much on one pair of boots about killed me. Can I tell you to this day I am still kicking myself for not getting them. I did end up having a friend who worked for a custom bootmaker and was able to get a pair of stingray/ python but they will never compare to the ones I saw 8 years ago. 💔
