Nba should shorten the season to 56 games so players have no excuses to sit out regular season and be able to be at full strength in the playoffs. It would be way better of a product like that. @@Jewbacabrathat’s just how basketball is. Just sit and enjoy. All games matter they just don’t all matter at once. But as we see the first 20 or so can determine what a team does by deadline the next 40 you’re seeing teams start to develop more chemistry and get into shape and does their potential. The last 20 or so teams are either fighting for a spot or determining whether it’s worth it. Everything in between which you’re leaving out is his being injured or chemistry not working out. The first 20 games isn’t like the last 20 and both are not like the 40 games in between.

Nurse plays the bench when he has a good bench. Raptors set a post season record for bench scoring against the Nets. But when a bunch of guys leave for nothing and the front office makes a series of trades for project players that don't pan out and the expectation is that the team still competes, there's only so much he can do.

@@noahreyes5241 This is the pacers first shot at the playoffs. First season with any kind of success. Im not basing their 2024-25 season off this yrs playoffs. Im basing it off of their regular season success. And this series is totally different if the pacers knew how to close out at least 1 if not 2 of the first 2 games both of which og and brunson played. Haliburton has finally put together more than 1 consecutive game with at least 20pts. Pascal should not be the go to guy and i hate that hali has made it seem like he is being so damn passive. If hali plays more like a scoring pg which he was before pascal got here the pacers are easily top 5 in the east next year.

one thing underrated about the pacers is how in shape they are. throughout this series every game has had phenomenal effort on both sides with fast pace through the whole game. the difference is the pacers have been playing this way all year, so they theoretically don't get gassed as fast as their opponents. not saying the knicks aren't in shape, but it seemed like it caught up with them in this game

The only reason you should ever be mad at another team for an injury if it was a dirty play which none of these injuries were for either teams. At the beginning of the year we thought just making the playoffs was good enough, let alone getting to the Semis and having a legit shot at the ECF now. No big names EVER want to come to Indiana, we dont have the luxury of the big cap spaces like NY, LA, or other teams, we finally have a group of guys who want to be here and play together and just play exciting, fun, hard nosed basketball. As a state thats crazy for hoops thats all we ever want in our teams is a shot ever year, for other fan bases to put asterisks next to something while its happening is insane. You do that afterwards and years later on reflections, just let each team enjoy the moment. I truly believe that people blaming injuries for the reason they lost and all the stuff that Kenny said is just a coping mechanism, I have done it a couple of times as well when I was younger... But saying a team shouldn't celebrate a win because the other team is injured is crazy... Every NBA Champion has injury luck and people that say must think that nobody has won a chip because every team has played someone with an injury.

This narrative that Thibs plays his players too much is the most casual thing ever. Is Thibs supposed to play Sims, Jeffries, or Diakite? His guys are hurt, its natural to play your best players even more minutes. He supposed to just give up? Or rest his players in a playoff game? Kenny I understand you had Thibs as a coach BUT HES CHANGED and Im tired of how casual you are when it comes to the Knicks. How tf do you have a cousin whos a Knick fan and you still this much of a casual?

With JB playing on one leg, and OG and Mitch being out I absolutely wouldn't be surprised if the Pacers make it 3-2 in the Garden, before they close it out back home. But, this season has been a huge bright spot. Packing the Sixers in 6 was a gigantic highlight. Let everyone rest up again and we gonna have an amazing 2025 Season.

I feel like the big thing people sre missing when arguing that the Pacers beat injured teams is: Why arent the Pacers injured? Is it only luck? Tyrese Haliburton was iniured for a good chunk of the season, Benedict Mathurin has been out for the season since before the playoffs began. The Pacers had some iniures throughout the season too. The Pacers are just one of the deepest teams in the NBA. The entire season, their bench has outscored every other teams bench by double digits and often by 20 or 30. When youre team is deep, you can afford to rest your starters to help them recover and avoid injury. The Pacers dont need Tyrese and Siakim to play 40 minutes a game to win. The Bucks and the Knicks need their guys to play entire games, hence why they keep getting hurt. If anything, the Knicks were insanely lucky that they could push a guy like Brunson so insanely hard and hes just now breaking down.

I hate the way fans started talking. These dudes on Twitter immediately went to “Knicks suck” “Brunson is a fraud” “1st 2 games were fluke wins”. I think the Knicks punted the game at the beginning of the 2nd Q. The hustle and effort you expect of the Knicks wasn’t there. Both Harts weren’t crashing to the glass after the 1st. The effort to pursue loose balls was nonexistent. Lazy on defensive rotations. Looked like a team that was willing to fight if given a chance but the pacers shot 70 50 90 in the 1st half and were hustling the hardest they have in this series. Just a great game from them. Closed the door on a roster they should beat 10/10 times. I just don’t see this narrative that the Knicks just suck or whatever. It’s lazy and stupid
