Knock up a small floating catamaran shaped raft out of plastic drums on a wooden frame with a mesh centre. Attach ropes to be pulled around the lake from the bank then go out on it with that net and scoop it up off the surface onto the centre of the raft so the water drains off the weed back into the pond leaving the weed sat on the mesh then keep dumping the weed back on the bank. You’ll soon get it cleared without disturbing the lake too much. Then leave it for a day to settle and reevaluate the situation. Rakes sink to the bottom and you end up dredging all the bottom up. 👍

​@@TheBaldingReeferYes thats what I mean. It has the opposite effect at night when photosynthesis reverses, plus its stopping the water/air interaction (wind ripples etc). Would benefit from additional aeration in my opinion. Ive been there and lost a lot of stock. We installed solar aerators on our stock ponds..
