First of all Happy Belated Birthday, Rich!! And I recently turned 61 this past April and can say the very same thing that Mel Brooks has been in my consciousness my entire life as well…wow, 96!! Such a legend and I recently got done reading his fantastic book “All About Me” and learned even more about Brooks than I never knew before-and yes from “Get Smart” to “The 2000 Year Old Man” to all the movies, comedy albums and television specials and all his work with his best friend Carl Reiner and with his late wife, the incredible Ann Bancroft, he has truly been and still is a national treasure 😁Wonderful tribute, my friend 👍👍👍👍

My first Mel Brooks movie was Robin Hood Men in Tights. Loved that movie. Super early role for Dave Chappelle in it too as Achoo. Years later I saw the other films, and IMO, Blazing Saddles is his funniest. They’re all great in their own right, though ofc.
