SO glad you are back! I was just thinking about you and your videos the other day. These became apart of my daily routine...super thrilled to find such a long video from you.

Once again welcome back thank you for watching! Frankly it surprises me that people would want to watch an old guy cleaning pools for nearly an hour but perhaps I've been ignoring the evidence the algorithm gives us. I love channels like Vice Grip Garage that have really long videos so maybe it might be a key to some success.

Great to see you back. I too am addicted to Sim Racing... I usually run on Gran Turismo 7 or ACC. Rig is Logitech Pro DD wheel and Pro pedals in a Playseat Trophy Logitech Edition. Was going to purchase Fanatec gear until they went into hostile takeover by Corsair. Have fun, and I hope to race with you some day...

Glad to see you back! Pool plumbing sucks. Had a crack in one of the pipes and while replacing it, the chlorine tablet holder cracked too. I have given up for the day as the pool needs to drain so that the pipes are dry. Additionally the one fitting i got on my second run to the hardware store is ever so slightly different to the one thats on the pipe. That's been glued in so gotta cut some more and get some more fittings to fix it. Weather is miserable right now and starting to rain.

Welcome back! I hope that you resolved that past issue of someone watching your videos, and bothering a customer of yours. From 10:38-10:41 you show a Triton 4000 series DE filter. Are they still quite prevalent out there? I just had to buy a set of grids for one on my route in Arizona. They are not even listed in the Pentair manual, and fortunately they had a full box of grids, at Superior Pool, in Mesa, Az. The counter guys had no idea what I was referring to, and one had moved here from Orange County about 12 years ago. When I was in Los Angeles doing pools, I told him that I installed dozens of the 4000, and 2000 series of those filters, and at that time it was by far, the filter of preference for poolmen to use, because of their simplicity of cleaning, and readily available parts. Are the quad DE filters very popular there now, or what other type of filter do you see, is the currently preferred type for pool guys? I've installed dozens of quad DE filters out here. Do you use the cyclonic prefilter, any opinion, yeah, or nay. I have installed about 5 of them, was so impressed that I put it on my own pool. Three of the the cyclonic prefilters I paired with installing the Aquastar Pipeline cartridge filters, have you used those? On a Pentair "try me" program, I have purchased, but still not received after 3 months (rep says that there are issues at the factory), of Pentair's full flo XF 650 cartridge filter. if you remember the "Felix the Cat" cartoons from our childhood, there was a villain known as the "master cylinder". I refer to these new XF filers, as the "master cylinder" type. it's kinda fun to come up with character names for your clients pools, or equipment, isn't it. These filters are rated to flow up to 180-185 GPM. I want to install them for two different customers that have pools that are 40,000-50,000 gallon pools, and both have in floor cleaning systems. One has about 45 cleaning heads in it. What percentage of in-floor systems are out there now, not many, I suppose. When I doing pools in Los Angeles, I only saw them on 2 pools, and I had seen thousands of pools out there, here in Arizona, they are installed on about 40 percent of the pools here.

Do you use a pool app to tell you how much of what chemical to add? Ive noticed that while testing several apps, the recommended amounts can vary wildly.....trying to figure out why.......
@angrypoolman6 ай бұрын
I do not use any sort of app. I've been doing this since 1991. I use Aqua check 7 test strips and all my pools look great
