Close your eyes for a second and imagine listening to this played live in front of you. This isn't archaic, or "old timey" music. This is wonderfully charming and delightful.
You'd be surprised, and I was also, the number of people who are listening and loving it. Wishing modern popular music sounded like this. They say so, here, where they can hear and appreciate. Even kids you would never expect to. And if it wasn't for KZbin, etc., it would be lost.

I'm only 71, these were my parent's songs. Luckily, the radio was always on from the year of my birth, 1951, throughout my childhood. Then, at 21 years old I got a job at Pittsburgh's BIG BAND radio station and rejuvenated my love of this music. How wonderful it is to hear again! HOWEVER: Does NOT the technology exist to N O T play the commercials in the middle of a song? Yes, it DOES exist. I suggest that you USE IT!

Thanks for listening to this lovely music. The ads are determined by KZbin - but if you subscribe to KZbin's paid-for service, then that's ad-free. We spend an enormous amount of money in sourcing original material, we employ the best sound engineer in the business to restore by digitally remastering, and then obtain and pay for correct licences in order to press thousands of albums. For the pleasure of customers worldwide, and importantly to keep this music alive for future generations. Thank you again for listening ... and helping to avoid this wonderful music being lost forever.

I was born in the year 1992 and all this music seems familiar to me. The reason I looked up for these songs is because when I was 12 years old and until now I'm having strange dreams about different women I'm dancing with, what's funny is that I'm a Filipino and those women in my dreams are all tall and have blond hair which is not a Filipino trait. The songs I hear and used to dance in my dreams, sounds very similar to these songs. It's so weird as if I'm having these feelings that I already heard this song and as if I was alive when these songs are at their peak of popularity

My family and I went to the Winchester mansion. Before we even went inside for the tour, I heard the song “strange enchantment” by Ozzie Nelson. I quickly jotted down the odds I heard so I could search for the song after the tour. 2 days later, I find the song, and now I just listened to this entire video. I love it. It’s beautiful. I’m 17 years old, often very open minded with music, and I’m so glad to have found this. I like to imagine what life was like, for the people to whom this was the norm. They didn’t know of other music, like the kind we have today. A different era. A completely different person of music, gosh, I’m so lucky to be able to enjoy all of it.

@petertaylor36002 жыл бұрын
The life then wasn't good, though. The Depression and then the World War. But it's the music from that time that has somehow been forgotten in style. There are simply no composers of that kind alive now. Nobody in this time has even thought of creating something timeless and the world will be a lesser place for it.

Love is still pure and beautiful. The songs don't deal with sex very directly, but it's there--a bit sentimentalized, but there. It's mostly about the nostalgia for good sex, which "pure" or otherwise is always nice.
