I dont run excavators incredibly often, but sometimes I'll go 2 or 3 weeks at a time just loading trucks. To keep myself sane during that, I usually go for the insanely loud music approach.

Iove watching yall , I grew up on the family farm and run heavy equipment all most everyday. Only ran a dozer or trackhoe about 2 months out of the year. I wasn't close to being as good as you or Jerry. I used to go watch dozers and other things run for hours. I miss the farm and running the equipment. Great to see a good team - reminds me of our blacksmiths shop in the 1980s in the North of the UK, all pulling together. All we had was the water trough under the forge for our R&R, which used to freeze solid in winter.

Pond job is looking good. Nice that you had the picnic. I used to work for a guy that did that for his employees and customers. He would take his plane and go to Denver and get live lobsters, and the women made homemade ice cream and cooked hamburgers. It was nice. You are doing good job for your customers and employees.

Love the appreciation day concept. I was curious, with the use of the 210 and all of its power, have you calculated the value of a bigger digging bucket? Would it improve cycle times or does the bucket cost outweigh the fuel savings?

Down in Florida we built 12 15 acre retention ponds 32 ft deep with two five yd excavators and 12 45 ton off road dumps. Ran a truck and grader same job for 7 months same place. Ran 12 hr days for 7 days a week . Made 22 k overtime.

We have a 644H that has the same oil leak. I have tried Wix Hastings and Baldwin filters and they all weep around the seal. If I put a JD filter on it it doesn’t leak. You should also consider putting a vibrator on Bubba Dump. It really helps keep the box clean
