The problem is that Benn passed all the Ukad tests and in the Boards own rules they down acknowledge any other doping agencies but they changed their policy after this happened. How many? Only relevant in the UK. A fight that has zero bearing. Both are not world-class, and both are fighting because of their fathers. Even if it holds, trust me, the PPV will be a mess. In Eddie's head, or will fill out a stadium. But, they will not fill out the O2 arena.

He won't be risking his licence by fighting a fighter who is licensed by another commission. Benn is legally able to fight. Eubank is legally able to fight Benn. If the board prevent the fight or try to sanction the fighters in any way without the legal basis to do so they open themselves up to legal action. The is no legal basis presently to interfere with the fight or sanction the fighters.

That’s not quite true. Boxers can fight under a non-UK boxing license within the UK, but not without a right-to-fight pass from the BBBoC. So Benn can fight legally in the UK with an overseas license, but requires the BBBoC to grant him permission to fight. The fight can’t go ahead without it. This fight forces the hand of BBBoC. If they reject the permission to box they’ll be opening themselves up to a legal bashing - as they have no jurisdiction to not allow it. Or they’ll have to speed up the appeal. In my opinion I think it’s exactly that - Matchroom and Team Benn are applying pressure to speed up the appeal process. And Simon is right, the appeal process is joke and is taking far too long. Say what you want about Benn - the BBBoC handled this appallingly and are looking incredibly weak and pointless. It sets a very dangerous precedent going forwards.

Personally I feel that Matchroom would love to create their own version of the UFC, so undermining authority in such a brazen way is probably all part of the plan. Plus the desperation to fill DAZN schedule is paramount to why this is just being pushed regardless. Ultimately, there's a lot of people who want to see the fight too.

Instead of being instantly disqualified, he went into training to fight Klitshcko and nobody knew he cheated. The issue here is that Benn has been cleared to fight end off!!! The board are appealing the decision which is fair enough.....They have the right to do so.....But Benn at this moment in time does not have to sit around and wait for the appeal to be heard before fighting again as he's already proven his case and it's for the board to prove theirs......The board need to clean up their own house first before coming for others as the issue of jurisdiction cannot be new to them and if it is then that's a loop hole they need to shut......
