Chuunibyou is like a Japanese phrase for edgelord; I think it specifically translates to something like "eighth-grader syndrome". It's like "They're just going through a phase", yeah that's the phase. Goth, scene, punk, otaku, delusions of grandeur, playing pretend, whatever you want to call it, to an outsider looking-in it's cringe-personified. Those 13-year-old kids that bought clothes exclusively from Hot Topic, did Kamehameha's at each other, Naruto-ran, and probably wore Heelies. Most people grow out of it, some of them become v-tubers, others become voice-actors, a lot of them become theater kids in high school, some of them become cosplayers or larpers, and some just never really grow out of it. Watch "Love, Chuunibyou, and Other Delusions" if you want to watch a love-story anime about it. It's got two seasons, a dub that's good, it's a sweet story, it's funny, I think there're two movies, and I'm pretty sure it's all on Netflix.

It’s definitely something that many people go through all over the world. It just seems like Japan is a country that she has a specific name for it. I think I had it as well a little bit as a kid, although when you’re at university it’s mostly down to the clothes but not including any form of delusions of grander or beliefs outside of perhaps simply personal philosophies or opinions. Which is better frankly looking back now it’s hard to tell. LOL

because Kishi Himeko is VERY VERY noticeable. Taller than average, long blonde hair, and then some armor on you. XD But ironically, she was only in the story for 2 chapters (outside of background appearances or tagging along Yamai Ren) and those 2 chapters are only in the Senior class arc LMAO heck the first time we see her head was the Karaoke chapter.

I definitely liked her very quickly once you see how she truly feels on the inside. Now that season one has finished I desperately want to see more. I just wish I had time to read the manga on top of all the other physical manga volumes of other series I’ve had for literally years yet haven’t gotten around to reading on top of my backlog of anime to watch as well as university work. It’s just simply not enough time anywhere. LOL

It's beautifully animated with insane action scenes. about a boy who, after going through eighth grader syndrome, tries to be normal in high school, only to first befriend a girl who's going through eighth grader syndrome. The first season is masterpiece, in my opinion.
