Dracula was created during the Victorian era. An important fact is that during this time, the useage of Christian iconography to defeat Vampires (crosses/crucifix's, holy water, etc) was popularized, which persists to this day.

The original Nosferatu did ruin vampire law by having sunlight kill vampires . In the book Dracula it just weakens them .

Happy 2025, King Jon! Hope you, Shanth, the Captain, Shane, Ethan, your families, and everybody here had a very Merry Happy New Year's celebration! It was funny seeing the Captain imitate the original Graf Orlock with his hands, and glad he was positive towards Sonic 3 and Jim Carrey. I thought Jim Carrey's Truman Show was a better version of the Matrix, similar to Wall-e being better than the Matrix. I was born in the 90s, so I'm younger than you all, and thought Nosferatu (1922) was an amazing movie with a message of, to reference the Eminem Venom movie song lyric out of context, to not "Knock, Knock, let the devil in" (Knock was the name of the real estate agent that brought the horror) as well as a good message of self-sacrificial love being a powerful light to overcome darkness and also the reminder that while there are material horrors like the plague, spiritual warfare is where things are really at! Regarding, 10/10s, if interested, from my mixed meme-machine multiple-choice memory from a fuzzy childhood onward, these are imo 10/10 movies I can remember, trying to be relatively impartial with my flawed intellect standard, where I might have only seen once...multitasking, again from childhood onward! Freaks(1932)- Jon, you know how you were talking movie lengths? This is only 62 minutes and I think it's perfect! Mr. Deeds Goes to Town (1936) Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (1937) The Adventures of Robin Hood (1938) You Can't Take it With You (1938) Gone With the Wind (1939)- this is an example of a 4 hour movie that I didn't think was too long! Mr. Smith Goes to Washington (1939) Wizard of Oz (1939) Destry Rides Again (1939) Rebecca (1940) The Maltese Falcon (1941) Shadow of a Doubt (1943) Old Arsenic and Lace (1944) Beauty and the Beast (1946) It's a Wonderful Life (1946)- This is my choice for greatest movie, especially because of the theme of showing the priceless precious gift of a single life. Treasure of the Sierra Madre (1948) All About Eve (1950) A Christmas Carol/Scrooge (1951) Rear Window (1954) Dial M for Murder (1954) Ben Hur (1959) Psycho (1960) To Kill a Mockingbird (1962) What Ever Happened to Baby Jane? (1962) Sound of Music (1965) Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory (1971) Raiders of the Lost Ark (1981) Beauty and the Beast (1991) Muppets Christmas Carol (1992) Gladiator (2000) The Incredibles (2004) Godzilla Minus One (2023) And then for, imo, best performances I can think of: Maria Falconetti's Joan (1928 The Passion of Joan of Arc) Ronald Colman's Sydney Carton (1935 A Tale of Two Cities) Charles Laughton's The Hunchback Quasimodo (1939 The Hunchback of Notre Dame) Blanche Hudson (1962 What Ever Happened to Baby Jane) Anthony Hopkin's Hannibal Lector and Ted Levine's Buffalo Bill (1991 Silence of the Lambs) along with best performances, these are also the most three dimensional characters from film I can remember- Longfellow Deeds Semple (1936 Mr. Deeds Goes to Town) Bette Davis' Margo Channing (1950 All About Eve) Ernest Borgnine's Marty Piletti (1955 Marty) Anthony Perkins' Norman Bates (1960 Psycho) Richard Burton's George and Elizabeth Taylor's Martha (1966 Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf) Paul Newman's Lucas Jackson (1967 Cool Hand Luke) Liv Ullman's Eva (1978 Autumn Sonata) Daniel Day Lewis' Reynolds Woodcock (2017 Phantom Thread) Thanks again! Hope you and yours are enjoying your first 2025 week! Also, I'll be back with another list!

Shane complains of the 6 minute Eric July video being EFAPed for 6 hours but has no problem joining Jon for a 1 hour EFAP of The Gorge trailer that I suggested to Jon! It's all idiotically ridiculous.

Unlike you, never boring Coach Jon, hopefully I got something interesting! I've been making a list from a fuzzy childhood memory onward, and checking it twice to determine who's naughty or nice, and I put the original 1922 Graf Orlok on my list of Top villains/antagonists/bad guys. I saw Nosferatu yesterday, it was a 5.5 out of 10. The first hour was good, but fell apart after that. It was long and drawn out and boring in the second half. The speech pattern of Orlock felt like they were padding the run time and was annoying.

Happy New Year! IMO, EVS was to blame for Shane's apathy toward participating in the NYE stream. Ethan immediately limited who would want to join by making it a Trashcast stream. "Why wasn't it like last year?" If it had simply been a NYE celebration, plenty more guests and plenty more fun. Simple as that. Trashcast gets tiresome, and not everyone in CG wants to join in on Ethan's detracting 🤔🤷‍♂️
