Why just people come in a vlog and have to jump in on a comment that didn't involve them?? We are ALL entitled to our own opinions, thoughts, and feelings. If others think it's too much stuff in their house. Who cares! You guys saying she's being rude umm welp you're doing the same exact thing! Learn from your own behavior and stop jumping on posts that don't concern you personally. I think we well that is way too much stuff in their house. They need to minimiz. Dwayne needs to stop bringing home everything he finds on the curb.

You can always rent a storage unit for the furniture you want to keep for your daughter(s). Keep the good stuff from your parents and store your old furniture. Houses look so much better with less in the rooms rather than packed full of unnecessary furniture.

It would be so fun to watch your progress as you rearrange furniture. You don't have to get it all done before you show us. If you would like, just show us one piece of furniture at a time staged in its new spot so we can admire what you have done. You don't need to pan the camera around the room. You can choose what to show us and edit out what you don't want to show. However, if you don't want to do that, that's okay too. You do you and we will enjoy the ride. You have inherited beautiful pieces that will bring you joy for the rest of your life. I am so sorry you lost your mother. No matter how old we are, we are never "done" with our parents, especially if they were good ones that did the best they could with us. I miss my Mom, too. I hope the memories will comfort you until you see both of your parents again. Please take care and get your rest everyday and thank you for sharing with us. Also, just a suggestion for any good furniture on the cement floor of the garage. Place a 2 x 4 board between the furniture and the cement. It may give it some protection until you get the furniture where you want it.

Your parents’ furniture is gorgeous and I totally agree w/you that the dining table or any other of their furniture should sit on naked concrete. I’m loving all the chest of drawers (ik you call them dressers) but I say chest. I still have some of my mom’s furniture. The stuff they make today is mostly pressed wood and garbage. I love you so much Frugal Mommy!! I think you’re the bee’s knees, to use an old saying. Very special. I feel like I’m not all alone after you post a video of your authentic self!! Now, that’s said not to make you feel pressured. You don’t owe us anything. I have spent most of my life being a caregiver in some variety. I care for others very much but I often forget to take care of myself in that process. I’m not a materialistic person so a day at the spa or anything that society tells me I need to take care of myself just falls a bit flat. Thank you for being who you are. It can be exhausting. I feel revitalized after listening to you. All the love and a big hug to you from me. 🕊❤️🙂

Such beautiful antiques. My parents had an antique furniture business. Our house was like a museum 😂 you inherited such lovely, valuable items that go so well with your style of house. Part of our house was dated as far back as the 1700’s. They don’t make any furniture as solid as these antiques. Soo heavy. B safe moving them!!

My hubby is a hoarder and it is so frustrating, because you spend hours clearing things and within days it’s back to how it was, and the worse thing is,you can’t clean, dust or vacuum when there is crap everywhere. I won’t let anyone in my house anymore because of it. I’m too embarrassed, because this wasn’t how I was brought up. What a small world Amy.. I live in Cambridgeshire UK, about 30 mins from Cambridge itself. And yes, it’s very much a British thing I think to have chest of drawers as cupboards around the house in different rooms, depending on house size. We have more modest / smaller homes here, but in larger ones you’ll often find chest of drawers in dining rooms with table linens etc in, or in living rooms with paperwork, photo albums etc! We’d call that a bureau cabinet (with all the little drawers etc), you place a chair at it and the top folds down so you can write at it - it’s a writing desk, all the little drawers are for your writing paper, pens, stamps etc! My Dad still has one almost identical to yours in their living room :) They’ve written many a letter / Christmas card at that bureau desk / cabinet! I can see the British influence in some of the furniture pieces :) Please please don’t take this the wrong way, I absolutely adore you & your family, but as someone who lost their mum just 2 years ago very suddenly, my parents never really downsized when they moved from a 3 bed farmhouse to a small 2 bed bungalow (ground floor property). I’m only 37, & still trying to deal with a lot of their furniture / belongings as they were like frugal daddy, they hoarded so much over the years. Don’t overwhelm yourself. Go room by room, once it’s comfortably decked out, move on to the next. Fill the coach house with useful items you feel your children will need, especially any sentimental pieces.. beyond that, don’t be shy to tell on to a loving home. The sad reality is that we can’t take any of this with us when we go. Since moving into an adapted property myself as I’m disabled too, I’ve started to really think logically about what I need. It’s hard isn’t it as I’d love to keep everything of my mums, but I know it just isn’t practical . If only we could all be millionaires and have all the rooms to deck everything out! Tell frugal daddy to stop bringing stuff home now. You’re blessed with so many lovely belongings. Love always! Good luck! 🥰 x

List the pieces. Choose the best, most valuable ones and use them where you can see and enjoy. Any old stuff that were dumpster finds or have seen better days - put them in the carriage house and make hard decisions - donate, sell, worst case scenario (they have no life in them) LANDFILL (the dreaded word). It is obvious some things have good memories as well as being quality pieces. Honor the people you loved, enjoy the beauty of things that will enhance your home's beauty. It will be hard but think of the peace it will bring your soul when it's done.

Amy, the furniture is exquisite, and you are handling the project and pressure very well. I love that you care so much for your children's future in providing the beautiful family pieces for them, and the sentimentality of it all. You are RIGHT to prize them, these pieces are so expensive, rare, and of quality you can't get anymore. Btw, your inlaid patterned FLOORS are SOOO GOR-JUSS!! 💖💓💓

@@freakinfrugal52682 Thoughts: Smaller beds could possibly provide you the extra room you want for the beautiful drop front desk(s) and chair, a storage trunk at the foot of the bed (or as a window seat?), a bookcase, and/or dresser(s) in their rooms. Beds are not as precious as the special furniture. :) This might ease your stress and give you a much needed solution you are looking for.🥰😍 Worth considering? 2. I have seen buffets centered in front of a window such as yours. Please do a video showcasing the jewelry! :)

Prayers for you and your family and your mother's passing.. definition beautiful heirloom pieces.. I definitely relate need a prioritize ask your children what they would want and put their name on it.. so they can take it when needed.. but definitely needed to prioritize your things to keep and things to sell to better the quality of your life and your children's.. so many things I need to take my own advice and do the same.. dumpster diving is addicted but I usually just get stuff too to feed my animals.. or give away to my family I have sold stuff for profit definitely have a yard sale advertise on all your local Facebook social media Marketplace I think you'd be so surprised how much you can make .. Haven't got to watch in a while saw this and I was like oh my goodness.. beautiful house beautiful Furniture beautiful family.. stay blessed don't stress . 🙏💪💕👨‍👩‍👧‍👦👨‍👩‍👧‍👦🌻✌💞🙏

Get rid of the stuff that's not antiques, the pieces are beautiful that are. Get rid of the stuff in carriage shed that you'll never use that's just stuff you found in dumpster diving..that way you get rid of what you'll never use. Love you all but . Sorry about mom passing. Cindy M.

I feel you, girlfriend! LOL My husband was a hoarder, too. We had to get thrifted furniture at first but then it was so difficult to get him to dispose of stuff. I ended up calling our local consignment store who sent over a couple of guys to take the extra furniture for us when we inherited his parents antiques. It got it out of the house, plus we made a little $ on the sales. I hired them on a three day weekend when he went camping with his buddies (I arranged that trip). Personally I would do that for all of your old curbside furniture to make room for the antiques, which are gorgeous. I also agree that having a king size bed for a 10 year old isn't the best use of the space...but it's your house, your decision. Personally I wouldn't give the kids the biggest bedroom; you need a space to decompress. And it would def be worth the $ to hire a couple of guys to shift all the extra in the carriage house to the upstairs before it gets ruined on the damp concrete floor. Good luck! Hugs.

Well . . . . maybe you can make a few videos of getting all your "crap" (as you put it LoL) sorted out. I know I would love to watch the transformation from crazy clutter to everything peacefully in it's place. Thanks for sharing the craziness with us. I lost my dear, precious Mama in December, she was also my best friend. The only thing I have left of her are precious memories, she had nothing to her name by the time she died.

I'm so excited for you! Such beautiful furniture! I grew up in a house full of gorgeous antiques just like those. Most of it was mahogany and not a scratch on it. It would cost a fortune to go buy that stuff now. I wish I could come help you arrange everything. I just love doing that. Don't worry my husband is exactly like yours. .procrastinating. I just do it myself or it will never get done. You have a beautiful house! Take one room at a time. Trying to do it all at once is too overwhelming. You will be OK. Like I said I would love to come help. Good luck!!! Can we see after pictures? Would love it! Thank you!!!!!! So sorry about your pinkeye, its no fun. Take care of yourself!!!❤😊🎉

Loved this video and wow--to see the furniture from Denmark was a dream. You and your parents have such great taste in things. I was shocked when this video popped up for me to watch--and noticed that I was unsubscribed. I wondered around Christmas why my notifications stopped. I figured you guys were busy and not making videos right now. So, I re-subscribed--and I will check more often. I hope your eye is better. Hugs.

Iam sorry to hear that your mom passed away. Its a very hard time for you,i understand. My mom passed away 2018 suddenly from cancer. It took some time to find peace. I really like your authentic family. Not all people have the same lifestyle or understanding, but thats fine. So we all a little bit messy in some ways. I persenally dont care and you should either. Last time i saw a video from you about frugal daddy. He is a little messy but my husband is sometimes the same. He has other qualities and your husband too.Its very rare that people are making videos like you without filter and fake stuff. I appriciate your honest character very much. You are a lovely person with a lovely family. God bless you and take your time. Wish you all thie best from berlin, germany.

I was also saving my antiques, beautiful dishes, and everything that my daughter would need to set up housekeeping in her own place, however my daughter is not exactly thrilled with that idea. I also had conversations with my friends who said their children weren't too excited to get their old stuff either....lol Unfortunately I am starting to believe that passing down things to new generations seems to be a thing of the past! I lost my husband 3 years ago and we only had our one daughter, so I'm now thinking maybe I should start donating my excess household things which I feel like it would be more helpful to her so when I die she doesn't have alot to worry about when it comes to cleaning out everything!
