Growing up in 70s & 80s, we would pick the corn with our New Idea 2x36" corn picker and then run it through our Farmhand grinder/blower which blew it into our 16'x40' silo for our dairy cows. Now, we continue doing this on our much larger dairy farm with a Claas SP harvester & 12x30" corn head and blow it into our 20'x80' silo.

Hi Rhonda,, I only pick the corn with a 2 row picker, and store the cobs in 3 round corn cribs,, then later on when folks order feed , I’ll grind it and mix with wheat or barley and some minerals,, sell to local folks with hobby farm or to bigger farms 😎

Love watching your videos ,even tho not really a framer , my son in law and daughter bought 30 acres both work full time jobs , my wife and I were asked to move to the land to take care of the 5 horses and chickens and land , guess one could say I’m a hay farmer as that’s really all I do is take care of the hay fields most days . Kill weeds and run the fence lines , never though I’d live out in the country but we’re loving it now that I’m retired and don’t have anywhere else to be again enjoying watching your videos thank you!

Good morning Kevin, Ronda and family. Such a wonderful gift to wake up to this morning, 45 degrees, no wind and clear skies. Perfect for an early morning walk and now proofing a loaf of bread on the counter. I saw Sander's video of him welding a part for the chopper, evidently the fix is working. Are bull calf prices holding high? I know they were up for quite a while. Have a blessed week and stay safe.

red sky at night, sailors delight, red sky at morning, sailors take warning. or something like that. I have no idea how to drive a tractor these days. all ours were gears and direct connect by linkage for throttle, pto and belt pulley, no cab, heater or ac. maybe a umbrella or heat houser in the winter with a army great coat and hood and heavy boots.
