I’ve got an old dainese goretex jacket , it’s around 14 years old and never let a drop in , even around Ireland last year which saw biblical amounts come down , I’ve just upgraded to Klim and hope it does the same waterproofing and lasts as long , as far as gloves go I’ve always used rukka goretex and never had a drop of water inside, instead of upgrading your kit you could always buy some Scott waterproofs which are the best on the market and don’t cost the earth

For us carlisle guys a very regular route to oban for a one nighter mate on rt 1250 which he highly recommends after three GSs...me wotever i have at time... rain never a problem all the years riding scotland

Streetguard suit, have heard of poblems, use rukka and halvarsson myself as connecting zips the same in both makes and never leaked,along with daytona boots. Experiance has taught me worth paying the extra for decent gear as lasts longer to.

@@travelsonmymotorbike yeah i know, got misses one from ebay. Most ok but have read of problems. Did Manchester to Portsmouth in biblical rain had to use single lane roads all way as spray was dangerous and stayed dry. Mind you ride RT so protection good. Good luck with next suit and keep up vids appreciate them.

Great route. Shame about the wet stuff. Today (Good Friday l) was a beaut.. A q-noticed you using the mp3 on the garmin. Is that because it’s easier/more reliable to Bluetooth your helmet to the garmin than faff through the TFT? (I use helmet->TFT->iPhone but the phone needs to be ‘incredibly’ close to the TFT to work!). I find i have to re proof the Streetmaster suit once a season..otherwise the seams on the shoulders manage to leak like a sieve..

Well spotted John. I've tried it via the tft and phone set up but never really liked it. I find having a folder of songs in the Sat Nav and much easier way to listen to music. For the reproofing, I tried the Nikwax wash but water still finds a way in!

As a Canadian who knows a bit about crappy weather, my trip to the NC500 taught me it’s better to ride a smaller bike and wear better (Gortex & heated) clothes. Well worth it though; can’t wait to return and get wet, dry, cold, hot . . . all over again!

Richa Gortex & Halvarssons 100% dry all day no matter what the weather throws at you. Don't use Gortex gloves with heated grips😊

Real bikers ride in all weathers 👍, there is something about fighting the elements.Your not having much luck with your wet gear.Gortex is excellent.your gloves look like gortex ? sometimes with gloves the wet hands going into the gloves causes them to get wet from the inside.Your editing and cinematography are excellent.Grass looks very brown so rain was needed.Hello from Eire 👌.

I couldnt help noticing it seems you are using either kill switch or side stand to kill your engine. If i am right then i have been advised by bmw to whenever pissible kill tje bike by pressing the keyless ignition. Apparently thinks can go a miss in the ecu if you constantly use kill switch or sidestand

That's something I've always done, bike's in gear so essentially the handbrakes on. Thanks for the advice though will look into it 😀👍🏍

Everyone uses chin mounts. I like the side view plus my helmet is a flip so wouldn’t work! 😀
