This is one of those things that benefits EVERYONE. Applicants with fewer "recognized" accomplishments on their resume--but insanely valuable skills and gifts-- become seeable and recognizable for hiring managers. And over time organizations and institutions will learn that will, mindset, true intellect and emotional intelligence are hard to see if you limit the way you look for evidence.

Thank you for sharing your story! I love the idea of unresume. It is too bad many resumes gets tossed before the conversation. I will share this with my daughter who is going through the college process now. I tell her, tell your story -- she has battled medial issues her entire HS, but I have never seen someone more determined and resilient. Only someone who takes the time to read her story will see the full picture instead of just filter out her application due to her GPA.
