A major purpose of these dolls is to help those who suffered through miscarriages or stillborn children. It helps them with the trauma of losing a child before it was even born. Miscarriages and stillborn children can really mess with the parents' mental health, especially the pregnant person. These dolls help them ease a little bit of that trauma but in my personal opinion, it is not a good thing since most of the time, when the traumatized people get these dolls, they start to think of it as their real baby and get overly attached to an inanimate object as if it were truly real which will only have adverse effects in the future.

The third one looked so incredibly real that it was kinda scary...I can see why the dolls are called reborn dolls...they are very lifelike looking especially if you add movement and sound. I can see how they could bring comfort to parents that were dealing with the loss of a child...although nothing can truly replace that loss, this could help make it maybe a bit easier for some to deal with.
