To make this more clear cause verbiage confused me: There is a rounded side and a flat side. The flat side goes towards the variator and the rounded side faces the clutch. The way he states it, I ended up spinning the motor the wrong way.

@@AlexDangerJohnson problem was I'm a total noob. just figured out the lever on the rear hub has to be engaged. i got it turning over but now it has no spark. weird, it had spark for 2 seconds when i first pedaled but now nothing.

I know this came out two years ago but this video happen to pop up and I’m getting a new clutch set up and Treatland just released there newest clutch bell but what does the one way barrier do? It’s it meant to turn one way?

It only turns one way so when the motor is off the wheel will force the motor over, making it easier to start than with starter clutches

how is the one way bearing holding up to regular use? At what road speed does the one way bearing cause drag with the engine at idle? is it higher or lower than the drag point of the original starter clutch? I'm just trying to figure out main clutch release rpm/mph vs one way clutch rpm/mph.

The bearing kit i used/linked to now comes with a replacement sealed bearing so you replacing it is easy as heck. My cleaned and greased bearing still spins just fine though. After dailying to work and several rallies, the one way still works perfectly. The rpm is kind of a weird thing to answer because you can play with the throttle to keep it from dragging at all. After your clutch disengages if you keep the rpms of the crank higher than the bell it wont ever drag, as the bearing stops free spinning when the bell is rotating faster than the crank.
