Living a story worth telling is not easy. Setbacks and struggles make us want to quit. In this week's message, Ryan reminds us that it's not the end... it's only the messy middle.

This was sent to me by my daughter. She said she thought about me when this message was preached. Last week I went back to something I wrote in my memoir in 2014. I realized what I wrote in 2014 is my reality now. "A wise man once preached that everybody loves a happy ending. But what makes a happy ending? It's a hateful middle. We know we will win in the end but what about this hateful middle? .... ....And I found out that it is in the hellacious middle that books, stories, and novels are written. And here I am in this messy middle in 2024, 10 years later doing my best writings of my fantasy novels. What a beautiful reconfirmation.

Messages has been coming to over the last 2 weeks from Ecclesiastes. As I ponder what I wrote 10 years ago... I said to myself, that is a long time... Then this message came through ⬇️. Ecclesiastes 9:11 (NIV): "I have seen something else under the sun: The race is not to the swift or the battle to the strong, nor does food come to the wise or wealth to the brilliant or favor to the learned; but time and chance happen to them all."
