You know how to make us feel the drama, heartbreak and joy of playing poker. Personally, and most important to me, I can clearly see that my personality and bankroll are NOT cut out for this level of poker! I always think of moving up but the idea of being raised $400 or "ALL IN" when I have $2K are severe punches to my cowardly gut. Thanks man! No one is cut out for it to begin with. I remember losing $50 in a live 1/2 game in st louis and walking back to my car in total despair when I first started playing. Recently in a game I was down $4k and left down $500 and walked out like I had just won the showcase showdown! You build up a tolerance over time :)

Finally someone who says the truth. Its not variance, its playing badly. Its just such a fact. Like you just cant blame variance. if your losing multiple buy ins then your not making the folds that you need to make. Your getting beat by your opponent because they have a better hand then you, and your not playing good enough to realize it. Its not variance. You really need to be able to control variance, and if your controlling it properly, and getting your money in good while ahead probabilistically, THEN YOU CAN BLAME variance.

That girl who called the preflop raise with 74 was crazy. I had a guy do that to me last week, I had JJ and make it 25 pre and he raises me to 50. I don't like JJ so I just shove for 300 total (playing 1-3 so we both only had 300) and he snap calls. The run out was 4K792 and he says 2 pair, to my confusion I just table my JJ and he shows 79.

When I'm playing badly, I just leave. Otherwise, I end up chasing my losses, and making even MORE stupid plays! Last time I did it, I had about $700 in front of me, and I decided that if I was even, I was leavin'. Figured out that I was still about $100 down, and I was determined to spend another hour, or whatever I needed, to get that $100 back. Instead, I lost the entire $700! I was pissed with myself!

Nope, at those levels easily the most profitable way to play is just to "have it" and be nitty. They call way to much and the fanciness of any bluff will be lost on them completely
