A call back from the start of the show is not an uncommon trope, but the way the Owl House did this one is peak writing and character development! From the very first one, voice over-ing Azura for her book report, to her actually being able to say it against Warden Wrath, you see her living out a fantasy she’s always dreamed of experiencing but with a sense of frivolity. It was something just played for laughs the first three. With Belos, you see her conviction, that SHE HAS BECOME THE GOOD WITCH after everything she has been through! Goddamn this show! It’s simply amazing!
