This lady told us straight up that if any of us ever wanted to be a journalist that we should try and get into independent and/or investigative journalism because the majority of journalism is just a soulless propaganda machine and working in it 'will make you hate yourself' her exact words. That was over a decade ago in Australia and she spoke at length about how corrupt our news sources here are and how she experienced the same going to the UK and Canada. Bg3 is that newly re-opened steakhouse that was once famous decades ago but was closed down. At first you enter with skeptism, but it quickly goes away after seeing how the new manager (Larian) not only fulfill your order but come with extra free appetizers and desserts as a thank you. It's so good that you bring your vegan friend on the next visit. Again, the manager surprises you with their vegan special that cater perfectly for that vegan friend, so you both can enjoy the meals together. As for DA Veilguard, it is the McDonald everyone has heard of. You are tired after a long day of work and just want to eat a juicy burger, so you go in and order one. You take a bite. Foul taste fills your mouth as you spew out. Surprise mf! It's a vegan burger, with soy sauce on top! You find the newly appointed bluehaired manager and demand your fat juicy burger or else you'll want a refund. Instead of receiving an apology, you got a lecture about the health benefit of their new vegan burger and that they are done making their classic burger. Upset, you go home and write a bad review toward this famous food chain. Then, you saw a bunch of articles praising the new changes, saying it's the best thing ever, and anyone not agreeing are fascists.

Both of them in unison said 'I will never let my child play video-games'. That's not men preventing women from entering the market or space. This is not a rant directed at you but it just shows how disingenuous the media is on the topic of inclusion. Game of Throne was awesome for their inclusion of many peoples sexualities where we had a potential king on his way to power who was gay but it wasn't his entire life story just a part of who he is. They weren't given a free code unless they met certain criteria. These journalists were leaving great comments for the game and it hadn't even been out yet. If you're selling authentic jewelry, but it turns out to be fake, then complain about the criticism; it isn't the consumer's fault nor is it the people who revealed that the jewelry was fake. I was literally just talking today about “strong female protagonists” in tv, movies, and games. The question was “what’s an example of a strong female protagonist done right”. I said the key to writing a strong female protagonist is not to write a strong female protagonist. It’s to write a strong protagonist who is female. If you make a strong character, you can make them male, female, white, black, Asian, Hispanic, gay, straight, whatever and they’ll still be well received. The problem arises when the identity of the character lies in their inclusion in a certain group to the detriment of telling a compelling story.

It was so diverse that people had to use Google since not many knew who a "Kurdish person" was. It's a great game, with a great characters and an amazing story. But now in a lot of games there is no diversity even if game is advertised as diverse. There is always minority oprresed by the system, lesbian with short hair that is boring af, women that look like they have membership card to KFC rather than to nearby gym. Like cmon bruh - I'm sure there are hot lesbians with long hair, hot women, people representing miniorities that can handle themselves in any situation. The crazy thing is that Veilguard could have just made Taash bisexual and no one would have cared. Nothing about the character really screams "non-binary" but more like they wanted her to be a masculine woman that likes both men and women. Thats called a lesbian. This whole thing came about because one dev self inserted their mental illness into the game.
@thefool8224Ай бұрын
one look at the character and you can tell its one of those
@yihadistxdl951Ай бұрын
they wouldnt have cared either if they used the word that they came up with themselves that the qunari use. taash's mom suggested that maybe she is like that, and she is exactly just like that. it would have made sense. but the word non-binary alone is ridiculously immersion breaking and stupid, because the word quite literally comes from the binary system where everything is ones and zeroes. non-binary suggests that the person doesnt fit into ones or zeroes neither, those representing men and women obviously. the binary system was invented in the 1700s, which is centuries later than the medieval ages where the dragon age fantasy world is very obviously based upon, and the concept of gender identity was discovered in the 1960s. there is absolutely zero plausible universe where the existence of the word "non-binary" would make any lick of sense in a medieval fantasy world.

Everyone in this video is missing one important key point that explains why and how it is so important for the companies: People who decide to buy a game or let their children go and by a game don't do this with full knowledge of all the content and fun the game has, but they base it on how it is advertised and reviewed. This is the most important moment for the companies and the reason why the image is more important than gameplay.
@ReoddadaiАй бұрын
I don't know why journalists think they have the upper hand here. They are irrelevant and have been for a long time! As a child (around 95) I got all my information about VG from print media, but since 2005 I have never bought a magazine. Twitch/YT, Steam reviews, Game Demos, & Trailers > Legacy Games media
