I am praying for you to get better soon. Thank you for sharing your dogs with us. This is the best way to remember all of our fur babies and our best friends and family members that they are. Sherpa would have loved to be here with us around the world. Yes i am safe.

I'm sorry to hear you have gone down with a respiratory bug. Hope you recover quickly. I'm not sure breathing in such cold air is helpful, though you'll probably be acclimatised to the conditions by now. Keep well!! The lurgie going the rounds here is more a stomach upset, can be very debilitating for some. I had a mild attack that could have knocked me out for Christmas day, but it cleared up in time. The thought of missing out all those buttered sprouts and parsnips drove me to recover. I made it round to my friends house for the full Christmas dinner with their three 'kids'. All grown up at uni now!! Happy birthday to Lucy, and yourself, my birthday was on Christmas day, which meant an extra dram, or two, on the day🥃😌

@mikemccormac9368 Thank you for the well wishes and birthday wishes, much appreciated. A belated Happy birthday to you too. People used to, and sometimes still do, that havibg a birthday at Christmas must be awful as everything is combined. Not at all, I love it. All the festive sparkle, good food, drink and company. I feel for those who don't have a birthday around Christmas as they don't get to have all the wonderful decorations that we do. I heard there was a nasty lurgie doing the rounds in the UK, glad you got over yours quickly. As for ne, the cold air isn't that cold, well not for us, at minus 9 or ten, that is relatively warm. Minus 35 to 40, now that's cold and I wouldn't be venturing out in that. I think later this week we are due some minus 18 to 25 for a few days, then it gets warmer again. I'm hopefully turning a corner with this thing, I've had pneumonia several times over the last 15 years, and I can tell when I'm coming out of it. Luckily, living where we do, I don't come into contact with a lot of people, so don't have to fight off their bugs too. I shall be raising a glass, or two, of Ardbeg tomorrow at midnight to see in the New Year, as I'm sure you will too. I've nit been to the Highlands for many years, my family are all situated around Greenock, Port Glasgow, Glasgow and Edinburgh, i think the highest my Grannie ever got was to the top of her tenement building lol. Have a Happy Hogmanay.
