You made me cry! And I never cry! But seeing you riding Abe and hearing you talk about him brought up all sorts of (good) memories of my old boy Brandy who trotted over rainbow bridge 3 1/2 years ago. If I could, I’d reach through the screen and give you a hug. You have been a huge part of my riding life with my 2nd pony, Pedro, through your KZbin and Dressage Mastery Programme. I have missed seeing your face and hearing your enthusiasm. It is so lovely to see you clearly so excited for your future. I really hope horses are there somewhere in some shape or form for you. Much love to you all, Hannah

Its such a great privilege to be able to knowingly have our last ride on a beloved horse; while its challenging and emotional, it really is amazing. I think some people will never understand how draining life as an equine professional can be. I'm glad you're able to step back, take a break, find your love of it again in a different context -- I look forward to seeing your journey, Tash!

Tash, that was a beautiful and emotional tribute to your work with YRS Institute and a heartfelt memory of Abe. I have been a client of yours since 2008 and seen the highs and lows. I visited the beautiful Garfield property a number of times before development into YRS but was lucky enough to ride there on Abe just once and it was a dream come true. I was shocked and sad when I heard the news, and I cringed when those beautiful motivational quotes went on the bonfire. I feel I have the same connection with my 5 year old friesian (out of Daquiri). He was born on my 50th birthday and has quickly become my heart horse. I will be competing in elementary with him this year and I feel he has the potential to make it to FEI. I hope to see you around in Queensland and look forward to you sharing what adventure your life brings next.

Tash, I found your KZbin channel when I was recovering from bilateral knee replacements in 2015. You were and still are inspiring. Your Riding Success Institute was a dream come true. You and your team inspired me to want for my dream. My motto is "Dream Big Play Full Out'. I had the honour of riding Abe. He is an exquisite and gentle horse. He enabled me to regain the confidence to ride and taught me about shoulder control and some fancy steps. I cried while I was riding my exercise bike. My partner heard me crying and came to watch he also cried. But despite this. My hope is that you will ride again. You, Kate Megan, Nicole and Alicia and now Toby are continuing the dream in a different capacity. Thank you for this new UK journey too. Thank you for sharing your life and your journey and your family. I am forever grateful for the experiences I had at Garfield. 🌹

You definitely made me cry! You are the reason why I started riding dressage and changed from western riding after my horse was injured. It was a great switch and has made my life become much more centered and passionate about horses. Please don't quit and give up riding. I don't know what happened on why you lost your home. I am sure it has something to do with family. BUILD it BACK! Love you and you are a blessing from God! Sincerely, your friend from Mountain Creek Stables in Tennessee Kayla

This made me so emotional. The first horse my parents bred, a 17 years ago American saddlebred cross warmblood was sold to a lovely lady that cared for him dearly. He was ridden at your (now old) property multiple times. He had plenty of owners even though the first owner after us said she would never sell him (she unfortunately developed cancer but is okay). He went through plenty of owners, sadly some did not treat him right. He was abused with one owner, and 'over buted', to when he was fighting for his life. He eventually was given back to the lady we sold him to (after the recovered from her cancer), and then developed laminitis as she overfed him. The lady informed my mum (who bred him 17 years ago) that he wasn't doing well and the vet was coming out. My mum didn't see the message until later in the day. She messaged her and called her, though the lady said it was too late. My mum would have done anything for the horse to be floated over from Victoria to NSW and she would have nursed him back to health, though didn't even have the opportunity. I'm so pleased you have blessed Aba with the best retirement possible

Tash - you just need to find your re love of horses. You feel like you’ve taken a step back - but it’s just a change in your journey as you said. Competition takes it out of you. Competition can really make you negative. My horse has lameness issues which I’ve decided to share on social media. I wanted to event but he will never event at the grand old age of 10 … yes 10 … but with the end of that journey - I’ve found so much more with him and I’ve actually found my love for horses without any competition goals. Abe is your baby. Would it be possible to have him home, semi retired and to just be able to enjoy hacking? It makes my heart hurt how emotional you are over the last ride. It feels wrong. Good luck Tash. 💚

oh Abe ....watching this broke my heart! I've followed you guys for years and you've been such a help and inspiration to me and learning to ride as an adult (older adult!) over the last 9 years ....partly due to Covid I've given up riding since June this year and so haven't been following what's been happening with you...I'm 55 and in the UK and I don't know whether I will go back to riding this year...I need to be a hell of a lot fitter I know that much...but seeing this has reminded me what an amazing feeling it is to be allowed on the back of these fellow beings...the pony I rode for years sadly passed away at the beginning of this year so even though I have never had a horse or pony of my own I can imagine the connection you must have had with Abe...I truly wish you all the best for your future adventures and want to send you heartfelt "THANKS" for everything you've taught me over the years. Wishing you and your family the best! Hoping the up and coming years will be better for everyone. I hope you get to be back to riding horses soon. I know how hard it is to have to stop. For me it was over 10 years without riding. I'm back to riding this year in Italy and loving every second of it. My worry is when I go back to the states in December that it is so expensive to take lessons and keep a horse that I may not be able to ride again. :(

Thank you Tash for sharing. I cried but ive to admit to begin with that it had some personal agenda. I always thought i had my break, my lottery win when i got the working student position with you. Well it didnt happen.. Ive have struggeled as you have, it seems like everything just washed away and never can be reached again. I hope from the bottom of my heart it will all work out, something even better for both of us

I had chills throughout the whole video. I’ll forever be grateful to you for breeding my two horses. Zucker and Venus. They are my soul horses. I’d be lost without their love and they try so hard for me. Our bond is so deep. I can’t even imagine what you’ve gone through lately. I can’t help but think the rug got pulled out from under you and that makes me a bit angry. I don’t mean any disrespect to anyone by saying that. You have made me dream big in my life. In return, I hope all of your new dreams come true. You’re amazing lady. Luv ya xxx 🖤

Wow Tash. I know you will navigate successfully through your voyage through the ‘“unkown” even though I know you will feel very lost at times. Remember, if you don’t lose yourself you can’t find yourself. When you do find yourself I am willing to bet that you will find you knew her all along and standing right there beside you will be a horse standing in front of a beautiful barn and a beautiful equine boarding/training/riding facility that belongs to you. And once again you will help many riders of all ages become a riding superstar. One thing to always remember is always keep faith. What rings true in your heart is always and always will be true. I also pray for you and all your countrymen that tyrannical snake that stole your freedom and government is soon beheaded so AU may thrive.

I will admit I cry a lot but while you where riding you made a cry and it felt different then other times. I think it’s because I love horses too and I’m still a novice and to think that if I ever find a horse that is a perfect match for me I would have to split up at one point.

I don't know why you had to give it up, but I do know it sucks. I would hate to have a dream given to me and then ripped away. I am horse crazy and I hope that I can get a horse soon and create the same bond with it like you have with him

Hi Charlene - my mother owns it and it is now on the market to be sold. Time for a new adventure! We have moved interstate to a new house, and I promise I will be back riding, it will just look a little different :)
