I remember that game teached me many things, 1.not everyone is a friend or real friend 2. Do not trust anyone 3. 90% of the English I learned was from this game 4. Teaches me how to profit be patience until you have a chance That was my best childhood game thank you guys I made a really good friends there. I will tell my kids about this game..😢

Hi, programmer here (not for PW or Nexus). In terms of my background, I’ve helped create several games, focusing specifically on programming. It can get messy, and over time, the code can become outdated. When updating or adding new content, there’s always room to improve and maintain the existing codebase. Considering that the game is 8 years old and was likely in development for at least a year before its release, I can confidently say (though not with absolute certainty) that it has aged and is likely quite outdated. It may have reached a point where it was more practical to abandon maintaining the code than to continue supporting it. When this happens, especially if the original code was written by inexperienced developers, vulnerabilities can emerge, making it easier for cheaters and glitches to exploit the system. Was this intentional? I don’t think so. Could there have been better planning and quality assurance for the system's code? Absolutely (though, to be fair, I’m not a PW developer-there could be a variety of reasons this happened). Heck, maybe the team just lost passion for the game, and this was the final straw that led them to move on. It’s also a nice gesture to give a shout-out to Nexus as a way to funnel some of the player base to that new game, which in many ways seems to be replacing the old one. It wasn’t necessary for them to do this, but they went ahead and did it anyway. I don’t see any direct correlation between the shutdown of PW and promoting Nexus, but hey, that’s just my opinion! I’ve been playing the game on/off for a while, and I played quite a bit back when it was still called Portal Worlds. As a young programmer with some knowledge of game development, I just felt I had to share my opinion. Thanks for coming to my TED talk! As Club Penguin would say, Waddle On!

damn rest in peace all the money, sweat and tears i poured in this game, i've been there almost from the very start when it was portal worlds, i even have a 2 letter username, guess it's over now, these were good times, i will remember the songs playing in the worlds the most i think and also the fact i managed to get a 2 letter name

Its just sad and depressing. So much time spend with fun. so many friends were found. All slowly nears its end. Thank you Ossha for all PW content you made before. it was a good run boys, pixel worlds was destined to fail and nexus station looks horrible in my opinion, since the style of the game looks so generic.
