I’m impressed Hayden that you don’t let the rear ladder slam down and bang up and down, you let it down easy with assistance. Don’t see anyone else do this. You take care of your equipment. Nice.

Great content, and you’re a pretty good operator. And you seem to have a pretty calm demeanor, which is good! Blessings! I started out pretty young in farming, I was 14 when I started in 1983.

You mentioned low spots having a better yield. In europe they make a concentrated effort to have flat fields. They use dozers and scrapers with gps to get their fields as flat as possible. .

New to your videos…can you please, every so often, tell us you story as to your routine as a custom harvester. What your family does…do you only costume harvest? Do you also farm your own land? Blessings!

Some people put air spigots on their feeder house where the trash builds up. That area you were kicking the corn trash off there. They have an electronic switch in the cab hooked up to an air tank that blasts air out of three or 4 spots and it keeps the feeder house clean. It’s pretty sweet. Ivers have that on their case ih corn combine.

Interesting, the last corn header I ran had a hood on it and it worked great haha

@@HaydenOnHarvest did it block visibility? Most new combines have air now so it’s easy to run a line up there and do it. We are gonna put it on one combine this winter and try it next year. There are big plexiglass deflectors that some headers have as well that work really well but they get really dusty and then it’s hard to see through them. So I don’t like putting deflectors up on there. With big heavy crops you always get slot of trash up there. It’s not a huge deal but I like keeping it clear.

Don't fret cab corn, it is like going out for a big steak dinner and even though there are a few juicy bites left on the plate when you are full, you still go for it.........

Curiosity question ? You or family like to hunt the big antlered deer and if so do the days your waiting on it to dry from a rain give y'all a opportunity to do any ? So true seeing newer generations still willing to work on the farm. And it's not any different here in NC the way we see your generation. They are so many just not going to work in jobs you get dirty. I just see it as a lost cause. Keep up the good videos
