This was a comment under the original video (paraphrased from memory): _It's raining somewhere else_ is the definition of a pause. Not just gameplay-wise -a pause from all the battles. It's an emotional pause. UT, with all of its comedy quips, generally has a lot of emotional / depressed undertones. Be it the lone-statue in the rain. Or the Echo-flowers that share a secret. The people, of course. Like Toriel who lost her child and Asgore who just wants his family back. And, of course, most of all Sans -a bone-man so depressed, he has a (ketchup) drinking problem. Undertale is, in a way, a haven for melancholie. A somber hug for those lost and sad. Except...not right now. Right now, nothing bad is happening Right now, you're just in a restaurant. A date between friends. And as you sit, the rain of the waterfall sounds far far away Of course, you know you can't stay forever. One day you'll have to stand up and go back to the tears. The crying, the screams, the struggle... But as of this moment, everything is fine. You are warm. You are dry. You'll eat food and rest. You breath in. You breath out. Because right now, it's raining. But it's raining somewhere else.
