I’m stuck on the power and volume re-connection……you say these are ‘specialty’ cables…..do you have to do anything to them when you dismantle the joysticks? Any chance you could include links to anything you bought for the mod. Cheers !!

How to you go back to your original games on the arcade 1 up once it’s installed? Amazing video btw, I just bought the new SF2 Arcade 1 up and want to do this when I get all the parts.

@@Meegalito that’s a good question. The only way is to reinstall the original PCB. However, once it’s modded, all of the original games will be on the mod regardless, so you shouldn’t have to worry about reverting back to the original.

Hey man, first off, great video, walked me through the entire mod and I have no issues except one. I have no clue where to get the adapter that I can wire in my speakers to the original volume control on the cabinet. I’ve watched several time and even attempted to creating own but have been unsuccessful so far. Do you know of any places I can purchase this adapter, I’m getting frustrated not being able to hear the games

@@rocket5908 thanks for the kind words. We hand solder all of our specialty cables. This includes amplifying the audio and also another cable to keep the factory switch working. These cables can be found at www.showtimearcademods.com, but unfortunately are only sold in kits

@@jecobian two very good questions and the answer is yes to both. We would recommend buying a pre made control deck with the trackball. You can still plug it in via USB and it’ll still be compatible.

To drill plexi - get putty, even Play Doh, roll it out like you're making a pretzel (maybe about size and thickness of a thick highlighter marker) Now "pool it" around the plexi where you're about to drill, so that if you pour water, it wont leak.... then pour water, then drill, sloooooooowly- bit stays cool, plexi stays cool, hole gets drilled. Make 100% sure you support the plexi the same way you did with the 2 x 4 underneath the first hole ((PS: Tighten your bit))

@@angelmatt216 you definitely can. All you do is buy a Sinden light gun and plug it into the raspberry pi usb slot.

I modded a MK2 deluxe with a Pi 5, but I didn't keep it for even a year. The machine is just too small and cheap feeling for me so I went with a DIY kit from Gameroomsolutions. Threw a PC in there and have a LED marquee on top and a real coin door. The build quality is just so much better than the cheap wood that A1UP uses.

I've modded my arcade and 1up with more games my mortal kombat arcade 1up has 1,487.00 playable game's arcade 1up uses MAME "multiple arcade machine emulator" I recommend getting a arcade 1up that's has multiple buttons so you can have full control of all the games for Instance do not buy arcade 1up PAC MAN because when you mod it you will need more buttons for games like Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles - Street Fighter - Mortal Kombat - Fatal Fury - Art Of Fighting - NBA Jam and more....why spend all your money to get different arcade 1up's systems when you can just buy one and and all the arcade games you want in one unit...FACTS! Pretty much the same thing but I only added arcade games for my arcade 1up.

@@almacamc9152 Nice. we always recommend one arcade for vertical screen games and another with a horizontal screen. The vertical screen games don’t necessarily need buttons that many buttons. The horizontal is good to go with a street fighter layout as it can be versatile. The horizontal setup has 31k games and roughly 200 light gun shooters
