Did they build them a shed for everything that was stored in the garage? 😄. That "elegant" mudroom and laundry was awesome, but maybe they could've just used half of the garage. And leave their master suite upstairs (where you want to be near your kids anyway).

I'm not a big fan of the excessive white exterior. On future brick and stone exterior maybe consider sand blasting. Brings back the brand new look.

so where is all the "stuff" in the garage gonna go? I live in the UK and the pseudo-Tudor style here is what Americans think "Tudor" style is and naturally its totally way off!! Lots of opportunities on the outside to tweak the look where missed. Instead of just putting in ordinary double glazing a leaded light style should have been used. Some plaster pargeting could have been done to increase detail. Too much white paint was used. But the owners seem happy, hope he likes painting walls tho…..

I really want to like it, but... The exterior lost that Tudor look, although it does look fresh and bright, and the front door is beautiful. The interior "family closet" is such an incredibly odd space. Now they will be very far away from their children's rooms, which just feels wrong. They don't strike me as parents who would want to be so far away. Can you imagine as a mom taking a shower downstairs during the day? Where will the kids be??? In their bedroom? In the "family closet"? Very odd. Now where will they park their cars? Why not at least create the cabinetry in the garage PAST the master? There's not even anywhere to sit. At least if it was their own private den, that would have been better. And there's nowhere to lounge in their bedroom. Window seats are cute, but they're not cozy, especially for new moms. I'm totally shocked there wasn't a cozy rocking chair. The living space upstairs looks beautiful, bright, and homey though. They seem happy, but I'm not sure how they'll feel once they live in it. There is no way their son is going to play trains or whatever inside a drawer. Strange choices.

Train in drawer will constantly be jammed with other toys and not shut then with second child fingers get shut in drawer. Looks pretty practical.

I love it but I'm not into the all white outside .I love the stone that just looks like the brick now .I love German schmear but not all white but maybe that's what the couple wanted ,I'm just not fond of all white outside r inside .

That dormer should have had a gable on it instead of a flat roof and should have opened up into that great room... or somewhere! Plus, while I love the window seat, not putting a door to the back yard from the Primary bedroom was a missed opportunity.

@@heidicook2739 They live in the country, so bright white does not blend with that setting and will show all the dirt. At the very least, it might have helped to make the "half-timbering" a natural wood stain and either left the stone accents as-is, or painted them a warmer color. I'm picking this apart now, but as soon as I saw the stone accents painted white with window boxes on top, it looked silly to me...almost like when men used to hike their pants up around their midsection. Lol. Basically, the opposite of high waters. 😂 I have no idea if you have a clue what I'm trying to describe. Lol.

Good job overall, but I would keep the Tudor of the house, that was so much prettier and I would wanted to keep the nursery on the same floor as the master bedroom for the baby's safety.

There’s nothing about it that looks Tudor anymore. It lost all of its sophistication. What a shame to paint all of that brick, it could have been accentuated with rich dark gray and black. They made it trendy instead of timeless.

They ruined that house! WHY take away the garage??!? Why make the outside so white?! They have children and they made the inside white too?? Why? And that garage shower is a health hazard! It is too small for what they were going for! You slip in the shower, you’re falling on the tub! And at velocity, that tub edge can cut! Dumb. This is a horrible remodel. I’m glad they’re happy as they’re going to have to live in that death trap.

I love Tudor houses but the original house was a very bad and poorly done take on Tudor, it looks much better now. I can't get over that cooktop though. It's quite impractical being surrounded with wood and I don't understand why there's no venting, every time they cook it's going to stink. Makes no sense.

If you you think the original house was a poorly done Tudor, you have just admitted you know nothing about Tudors. The look of the house was quintessentially a Tudor. The issue was the age of the wood as it was rotted. But these two yahoos came in and destroyed that beautiful house! I do agree about the stove though. And white on white with young children.
