I loc’d my hair out of convenience and beauty. I was sick of wrestling with my hair every weekend in order to be ready for Monday. I wanted to loc my hair ten years ago and should have listened to myself. I’m only 3 months in and LOVE my hair. I enjoy watching the changes from month to month. It’s definitely the locs for me!!!

👏🏾👏🏾 same. I wish I hadn’t let the fear of other peoples thoughts and opinions hold me back but we made the decision at the perfect time in our lives and that’s what matters.

I'm four months in my loc journey. People stop me and compliment my hair just as much as when I was a loose natural. But I feel more beautiful with locs.
@JaeCemma3 жыл бұрын
Same here! I’m always flattered because I know how little I did that day to make my hair cute ☺️
@kraxykam72423 жыл бұрын
Honestly, even with locs, I still can't style my hair. And that's just the thing. I don't even need to style it. Yes, I doubt my locs sometimes, yes, I don't like how they look some days. But, with locs, there's a different vibe, a different happiness, glow. I learn more about my hair everyday, it's weakness, strength, what it needs. It's different now. Locs gave me a chance to have a new mindset on the way I see myself. And I think that's something i don't think I'd achieve ever in my loose natural hair journey.

Yesss. Locs help you refocus on what’s more important because it’s so low manipulation. Sure they’re not perfect, but they make life more easeful.

You better SPEAK, on that "conditioning"....You BEST PREACH, on the lies that have been told. I love the message you've brought in this video. I've wanted locs for at least the last 10 years of my life, and didn't do it for a variety of reasons (mainly dry scalp issues). I am 21 months in and loving it. Keep spreading the positive messages about locs...THAT is how the narrative will change. You and your locs are beautiful.
@JaeCemma3 жыл бұрын
Thank you! That was exactly my intention and I will continue to share to shift the narrative 🙏🏾✨

I feel you girl. Locs make you appreciate your feminity. There is a confidence it gives you, and a sense of security about the woman you are.
@JaeCemma3 жыл бұрын
That’s exactly it! I couldn’t have imagined how secure I’d feel with locs until I cultivated them because I never had it with my loose natural hair.

Really enjoyed watching and I agree 100% with your sentiments. After being a loose natural for over just over 4 years I was so tired of detangling and trying to gain and retain length. Tired of waiting for my hair to dry only to discover my carefully planned style was a fail yet again. So I made the decision to install braidlocs. It's been 6 months now, and I'm so grateful that I took this path because I have a new found freedom and never loved my hair this much. Still can't figure put why I waited so long to make this decision. I hope I never have the cause to return to loose natural hair. I really admire those who have the energy and skill to successfully manage longer loose natural 4b/c hair..

sameeee. I was loose natural for 6 years and one day I had had it. It was literary dictating my life and I had had enough. Locs gave me my life back.

You are speaking my words and feelings exactly. My locs make me feel so feminine. I was a tomboy rocking a short TWA boy cut before I locked my hair. And now my hair is touching my shoulders, and I feel so beautiful and confident. I wish I had locked my hair sooner. And the longer that it grows, the more feminine I feel.

I love ❤️ my Sisterlocs I’m 9 mos into my loc journey. I have grown very patient with my new locs. U grow in love with your natural appearance when you loc your hair. Once your hair learns the new way to grow and flourish it’s a great experience. I remember a loctician telling me you have to get comfortable with your new appearance in the loc stages and to trust the process!! She was right each month my locs are more beautiful 😍 with low to little maintenance. Drinking more water for loc growth provides gorgeous complexion, burns fat lose weight etc. remove your bonnet shake your locs and go!! Your locs are fabulous regardless of the weather. I wish I would have loc’d my hair years ago.

If you don’t mind, can you share some of the places you buy earrings from and her fav shades of lipstick? Your jewelry and makeup are always on point!
@JaeCemma3 жыл бұрын
Hi! I don’t mind at all. I pick up gold earrings from anywhere that sells them. I think these are from ALDO but I frequent the beauty supply store, Stein Mart when it was open, Forever 21, Target, and Walmart. Lips are usually ColourPop or NYX with random combos that match the vibes I’m going for.
