You and your husband are one of the 80s channels that have inspired my channel. I was born in 89, I grew up in the 90s. but having an older brother 7 years older, I grew up on so much 80s stuff from movies, music, cartoons, toys etc. So im 80s obsessed as well. Right now I only have my trailer uploaded. But great stuff is coming up. Thanks for being one of the inspirations for my channel!!!. LONG LIVE THE 80S!!!.

That's AWESOME, thanks Rob!! We're happy to be an inspiration for you and wish you success on your new KZbin channel. Your trailer is great, and we've subscribed. All the best, Abby & Keith

@@Our80sLife Oh wow. I wasn't expecting you to subscribe. Wow, thank you. Yeah bit long of a trailer, but I had to explain why someone like me who grew up in the 90s would love the 80s so much, if anyone get's confused. But it's kind of hard to explain, I just identify with it. Haha.Yeah It's going to be fun. It really doesn't matter to me if it's successful or not. it's just a personal page for me, and everyone is invited to enjoy it. Anyway, look forward to more of your videos guys!!!. Cool Haul.....I also collect 70's and 80's vinyl. I have th SNF soundtrack in my collection too. I use to wear that out when i was a kid and picked up another copy in recent years...it is definitely worth more than what you paid for it. The books will be a lot of fun to read....those cook books scream 80's. I would have be around 9 or 10 when those were released. The kids on the cover look like they stepped off the set of Kids Incorporated or Silver Spoons.....LOL

Awesome, thanks!! I'm already loving the SNF record, it's so iconic and I love the Bee Gees! Oh yes, you're right about Kids Incorporated, lol! I think I have a couple of videos of my friends and I cooking back in the 80's - I should probably try tracking those down!

I remember seeing that Garfield Clock when I was a kid, and as big of a Garfield Fan as I am, I wish I did, LOL!!! I'm actually trying to get the original doll again!!! I actually have the original Saturday Night Fever Record, and believe it or not, I actually met John Travolta when he was in Cincy filming the movie Gotti. He was a nice guy, but I wish I brought the album with me for him to sign, but I did get a photo with him and his late wife!!!

Great stuff! All of it. I used to have that Disney's chilling sounds of Halloween 🎃 album. I recognized it right as I saw it. So cool that you found that Scavenger Hunt by C. Pike book that was in your old video. Yes! 👏
@Our80sLife2 жыл бұрын
Thanks Sharon! Yes, that book was a major score for me... especially since the newer releases of his books have redesigned cover art (which isn't nearly as cool as the originals, in my opinion.) We haven't listened to the Halloween records yet, but I think my younger self would've loved it too!!

Great haul! I especially liked the Garfield alarm clock, Nickelodeon lunch box, Inner Circle game..... The fact that you found the same book in that video AND also the same board game on your list is to Santa is crazy. Idea for two other channels: x Finding certain meaningful items through thrift routes (Salvation Army, Goodwill, garage sales, estate sales, flea markets, craigslist, facebook markets, etc.) x A Swap Meet channel - Explanation: By swap meet, I mean to actually swap items. a.) This tradition has been devalued over times because people have been too lazy to swap items and just would rather pay money for them. b.) A swap meet is also not a flea market, two terms in which people have been using interchangeably. Those channels have the potential to establish two valuable traditions (which are very practical).
@Our80sLife2 жыл бұрын
You're right. Around here, a "swap meet" is usually a flea market (often outdoors.) I guess we've never been to an actual one. Sometime we need to actually film our shopping expeditions. Most of the time it's either too crowded or I'm busy shopping and just forget, ha!
