They really are tackling a lot of different areas. Phil's depression, which he may not be aware that he has - poor Nigel, Lauren with her addiction, Suki with a horrible ex husband, albeit, who is no longer with us and everyone else who lives in the miserable world that is Walford. I LOVE it, but it would be nice to have some happy storylines too

@@chantellea9938 I can remember the 90s episodes. They were up 'n' down with it really, you had Nigel who provided some good storylines, happy times, they had stag do's etc, but then they killed Nigel's missus off and it was doom 'n' gloom for that ... when phil and grant first came into it they were bubbly and cheerful and Phil got on really well with Arthur Fowler. Then they brought Mark Fowler back into it and made sure he never smiled and gave him AIDS. So all in all, it was pretty much shit and misery back then too.
