Is that the southern coastline next to Grapevine dam, you can catch some nice Bluegill back in that cove next to the marina.

Hang in there! We need this rain and a lot more. The deeper substrate soils need to get saturated. The fish thrive in high water. It’s heavily oxygenated and more places/room for them to forage.

It also causes property damage, excessive rain is NOT good for fishing, on my local lake your not even allowed to make repairs on your dock because the army corps runs the shoreline. It also makes boating particularly dangerous for people that don't know the lake well.

Best advice I could give you my friend is focus on one lake. I would suggest for you to focus full time on Grapevine. If you like I would be happy to go out with you and show you some things. I love the vine. Hollar at me.

Wow, amazing kid! Nice smallmouth bass. I didn’t think Texas waters had smallmouth bass. You can really catch a lot of them up in Oregon but it’s good to know that some of these like whole smallmouth bass.
