In this case Lewis actually had to kill him. He was a glitch and couldn't buy items. The other traitors knew there was a glitch, and failing to grow the traitor team would've been super sus. That's why Lewis not only had to silence Ben, but also had to act like Ben had died of "mysterious causes" afterwards.

With regards to the lost stuff, there was an arg thing that resulted in you getting a chocolate bar from the series, it involved a whole conveluted lot of nonsense to solve, needless to say most people cheated but part of it did involve something where they already spoiled the entire plot for lost within that and about the stuff that happened in the series finale, so that's probably where the redditors got all their information from. In the end you had to say a secret word to an employee in a comic book store to be given a chocolate bar.

With regards to Lost, people thought the Island was Purgatory. The creators said it wasn't and then it turned out the creators were telling...the truth. But because a sort of Purgatory is used people got confused and ended up getting angry

Sometimes it feels like people are mashing together the endings of the main plot and the final season's (admittedly pointless) subplot and Mandela themselves into thinking the show actually ended with that. The real ending is the reversal of the first episode's opening.

@@sdcSpade The flashsideways aren’t pointless, they wrap up all the character arcs in a really interesting and satisfying way. If you only cared about the main plot and Island stuff then fair enough, but the sideways exist to give closure to the characters and their arcs which is what the show was all about. I do agree that people probably confuse the two in their heads though.

@@lucasdolding6924 There are nice moments for sure, Benjamin being my favorite, but there's also nonsense like Sayid's "closure" of being with the blondie he knew for a week or two and not the woman he has dedicated most of his life to. But the main reason I don't like the subplot is the fact that they built up these mysteries that were all red herrings, starting with the very first episode of the final season showing the island underwater, as if the previous season's finale actually altered the timeline. I found the entire series very satisfying, I don't need answers to every single question, but the flash sideways stuff was just full of deception.

I think everyone has forgotten at this point that the beggar was introduced to shake up the meta of the jester asking for traitor items with which to disrupt, troll or even kill everyone. You should be real nervous about just opening up on a beggar. Perhaps the pool of pink roles has been diluted to the point that it doesn't matter anymore.

Ben's wife's idea of Soccer / Futbol is just Hockey. If Ben wants to see that version of the game, he should watch Ice Hockey. Especially NA Ice Hockey. Most games are fairly fine. A little rough but nothing too bad. But there is about a 1% chance of some crazy shit. I have been to a game where there were at-least 2, if not 3, literal bench clearing brawls. I have seen a 1v1 fight where they beat the shit out of each other for about 5 minutes and then when the Refs finally broke it up, one of the guys shrugged the Ref off and headbut the other guy in the face. (This fight was like the second most minutes of penalty levied, when misconducts were converted, for a while too. Something like 6 hours from just these 2 fighters).

I think it'd be fun if the loot goblin had the ability to be able to drop a single piece of loot every couple of minutes or so. Have a credit regenerate every few minutes and their own little buy menu! Would give people the choice to protect the loot goblin so they could get loot off them, rather than just insta kill them on sight!
