Polly I wouldn't be a KZbin scrapper for quids..I hope you don't take the bad comments from people who are too lazy to check you out properly to heart .. because I only watch one Aus scrapper and one micro scrapper from aus (Ben) the best by far...I guess people don't understand how wives react when you try to keep everything that "might come in handy".. I find you to be respectful of others and polite to a fault..so I get annoyed by the HONESTLY..CAPITAL LETTER people.. You just keep on doing what you do lovely lad..you are worth so much more..

Great haul Poly. I almost cried over those vintage school desks...when you put them in a row the seat faces the desk in front of it. They looked pretty rough but could be restored. Of course you didn't really have the space in the truck. They could be sold through facebook marketplace if you have something like that where yyou live. We do in the states. Thank you for thme lovely videos you are a pleasure to watch and i learn so much about your area. I am a 68 year old retired grandma. A transplanted Texas who lives in Indiana now. Thanks for saving a bit of your part of the world.

The desk is early American 1920's 1930's school desk it's just one of a section of them. The person sitting behind would have the desk top and so on and so forth!

I have a friend here in the USA that repairs bikes since he is retired and when he is done he takes his trailer loaded and goes to neighborhoods and gives them away to kids that want one. I think about him when you get all of those bikes. Great job you are doing.

Hello poly looks like another great day shopping. Those table/chairs with the cast iron legs looked like antiques. Those are the type things that sell high dollar but only if you can find a buyer other wise the just sit in storage.

Well done Poly, you got a lot of great resale stuff, especially the guitars. Pity you weren't able to pick up those old school benches they are a rare find these days. They alway had solid timber tops and seat and the rest was cast iron. I remember sitting at one of those in primary school ( showing my age there lol) a good scrap day mate. Keep up the good work.

The old desks you found with the cast iron legs are from the 1800's . The hole in the top is for the ink well. They sell for around $300 for the three in the USA.

Those are antique school desk. Mother's school is still set up as it was when she went to school. She was born in 1934, to give you an idea of how old they are. Highly sought after in the USA.

Sometimes when you see blankets that are folded or quilts, they're worth a lot of money. You should pick them up and animal shelters will take any kind of blankets and pillows that look nice because they have animals coming all the time. And they need that stuff, so you could donate it just saying, but sometimes you could find a quote. That would be worth a couple three hundred dollars

Enjoy your videos. I was astonished though when I saw you throwing away the baby gates "they looked quite new as did a couple of the small bikes. You would have earned more selling them rather than trashing them. I don't know where you are in Melbourne, I remember there being a big market there for selling goods. I'm sure there are still flea markets around that sell secondhand goods. You work very hard & deserve more for the amount you deliver to the scrap metal depot

I'm in the US. The three antique, wooden student desks are used inside homes, by antique lovers, for plants, or antique dolls, etc. You are extremely careful, with making certain the piles are left in decent condition. You do not scatter trash around, while scraping. You're also very polite. The arm chair warriors on this channel, are free to do scraping, and have rummage sales, themselves, or donate the items they find. 😄

I cut the plugs off and sell them to the scrapyard. They are currently $4 a kg. I get roughly a large wheelie bin every fortnight. They hold 80-100kg 🙂
