Coming off the events of episode 7 (Bright Eyes), Cyclops and the X-Men try to devise a plan to take out Bastion. During this the news is broadcasting the newly recovered footage of Charles Xavier being alive and well. Jean and Nightcrawler try to help Rogue recover from her injuries she sustained last episode. Jean has a heart felt talk with Kurt (Nightcrawler) about how she has and feels the same experiences that her clone Madelyne had. Bastion and Mr. Sinister are holding Magneto captive as blonde government lady pops up from out the shadows, telling Magneto that she is sorry for Genosha. Jean, Cyclops, and Cable reach Bastions childhood home as they are met by his mother. She is later revealed to be a Human Sentinel, at the same time all other Human Sentinels awake and start attacking the Mutants. A battle breaks out at the mansion, resulting in the house being on fire and destroyed, during this Wolverine got to see what Nightcrawler travels through every time he BAMFS. Jubilee and Roberto are attacked at the mall, Jubilee jumps of the roof of the mall as Roberto, fully turned into Sunspot, catches her as he flies. The Blackbird is taken out, but not before Jean, Cyclops, and Cable escape in a Porsche stashed in the back of the plane. Still being followed, all three show as to why you do not mess with the Summers. Roberto and Jubilee make it to Roberto's Mother's banquet, revealing to everyone that he is a mutant. The Human Sentinels that were chasing them stop and say that they save mutants not kill them. Roberto's mother believes them and tells them to follow what the Sentinels say. Magneto is released by government lady, as Bastion restrains her as she exclaims that Magneto Was Right, and that Charles Xavier never understood humans. Magneto sends out an Earth wide EMP, disabling all the Sentinels. The episode ends with Professor X reaching the mansion and sending out a telepathic message, uttering the title of the first episode, "To Me, My X-Men."
