Coming from someone that actually followed EVERY SINGLE one of Zach's college games, let me paint a much different scenario for Jets Nation...Zach was not a freshman sensation (this is not the NBA and Lebron James where high schoolers are entrusted with the entire future of the sport). Not really any of the great NFL quarterbacks were ever great from the start (Manning or Mahomes took probably the least amount of time to develop). Manning still lost almost every game in his first year 1W-16L I believe. Wilson's stats through the first 18 games are actually on par with Josh Allen (I sure hope you caught that during the Bills game today). Josh Allen 64.2 QB rating vs Wilson 76.4 QB rating (Wilson’s rating is still trending up BTW)! That means "shut up" Orlovsky (not grow up Wilson). Did you see that throw on 3rd and 5 at the end of the 4th quarter??? The quick slant was a money ball for the game-winning field goal. Those money throws are signs of potential that usually develops. At BYU he developed and really only developed into the #2 pick in his junior (and last) year of college football. And he definitely had an offensive line (there was not Becton blowing out his knee every year and Elijah Vera Tucker was not switching positions every other game or hurt). Some of those BYU linemen are in the NFL. All 6'5" 300lbs +. All Americans etc. Oh, and by the way, his top receiver and top running back were not hurt either (they're in the NFL too). Allgeier showing some promise. That's four first-rounders off the team (Hall is a first-rounder). They just beat possibly the #1 ranked team in the NFL. He's only 18 games in and still on par with Josh Allen and you all are whining??? Hey Orlovsky! He didn't play Mountain West teams (Josh Allen did though), and even if he did, his stats were better than Josh Allen's (by a landslide). 5x fewer INTs and more TDs??? Wilson's stats were so ridiculous even compensating for the competition. Conclusion: you all need to figure out what bandwagon you're all on...I said it when Zach was drafted, this is a DEVELOPMENTAL quarterback. I also said Wilson is being sent to NYJ to run for his life (if you’re unhappy. You all are just now going 6-3, Wilson is making rookie mistakes, but still not really making mistakes that cost the team games (maybe Patriots but 350+ yds passing is decent). You all should be lighting off fireworks, throwing parties, the doing whatever you can to get that O-line back on track. There is nothing but an upside as long as you don't slam Wilson with sacks that you ruin his development with your BS expectations with a crap O-line and WR core hurt or not. You all sound like a bunch of spoiled Patriot fans that just set all-time NFL records for Super Bowl victories. Oh, wait...no wonder your heads are all in the sky. Brady developed under Bledsoe and had Moss among others. You all need to just go over in the corner and give thanks that the loser Jets days appear to be wayyyyyyyyy over. Especially you Orlovsky. Have fun eating your words (you even admitted it on your Twitter). The only problem is that it appears to be a reoccurring theme with Orlovsky. Who is Orlovsky anyway (I had to Google him)? Analyst Orlovsky threw 15 TDs and 13 INTs for his CAREER of 12 SEASONS! Who invited Orlovsky to this conversation? Is he just pissed that Wilson just passed his career stat book after 18 games with the handicapped Jets? Dude, the bandwagon fan section is in Detroit. Get it straight. I'm waiting for the END of year three to even think about this QB dilemma. Get Wilson some wideouts with SIZE and SPEED and an O-line (Garrett Wilson has no size and Davis has no speed (although par), check the 40 combine time. There isn't one). Props to Saleh for the D and Hall. Hall = truly gifted with cutbacks, strength, and speed.

The Jets asked Wilson to manage the offense and avoid mistakes and he delivered. With the loss of Tucker and Hall the Jets asked him to ramp up the passing game to compensate. He fell short but not by much. I think they are being too hard on the kid.

I know he isn’t a rookie but he is still developing. Josh Allen struggled against the Pats his first two seasons and had accuracy issues but he developed. I think Zach can develop into a really good QB. For a team with young skills players, he’s doing a good job in my eyes. Those mistakes are easily fixable, but he has the skill set to be great

@@deetony211 I think he just tries too hard to make something out of nothing and dropping back 15 yards before attempting to throw the ball away will lead to costly mistakes like the fumble in Denver and the 3ints at home against the patriots. If he doesn’t try to extend those plays we win the game off the strength of the elite defense that we have. I do believe that he has talent and a strong and sometimes accurate arm but he’s gotta be smarter from here on out. No more excuses

I think two things can be true Zach is a bad QB …for the moment he can grow and be better and also they are harsh but rightfully so he was the 2nd overall pick if it was anybody else they’d get the same treatment hell they did Wentz the same way . so the reaction is warranted it’s alot of “Bad” young guns under center but it’s also some bad organizations that have been bad forever that the GMs and Owners and Presidents want to thrive off mediocre play and the allure of yesteryear.
