If this hasn’t already been explained, Bakugos hero name is a play on words with his own last name. I know next to nothing about the Japanese language, but the Baku part or something equates to “explosion” and that’s why is sounds very similar to him shouting his own name when he was announcing possible options!

Baku-Satsu-Ou Baku-Satsu-Kyou Bakuhatsu - explosion Satsujin - murder Ou/Kyou - refers to royalty The names sound pretty decent in Japanese imo.

@@xfireflarex Ou/Kyou means king or lord, not royalty in general. Anyway, even in Japanese, the name is extremely goofy lol, it's like a 6th grader's idea of "cool".

@@MisterReapZz no the translation has it pretty much right. King Explosion Murder Lord Explosion Murder It just rolls off the tongue better in Japanese 😂 His first name is already a play on Explosion though so yes it kind of fits into his hero name.

I saw a creator on tiktok giving the big three new hero names and Bakugo's was just Dynamight I think but Izuku's was Arsenall - referencing All Might (and that kinda made his and katsuki's matching which I think is adorable) and Shoto's was Thermafrost. I genuinely wish those were canon 'cause they're so creative

@@bohdanpyzh2712 Yeah, but it's slightly different. If I remember correctly, Bakugo chose that agency because it was a highly ranked hero (I'm guessing the highest rank among all his offers). Which is also an admirable decision, cuz the higher the hero/agency ranking, the more workload they deal with.

Deku was squatting (the exercise) over his chair. You could pull his chair away and he would just be doing a squat. It'd be like seeing someone lying down and then you find out they have been holding a slight crunch and leg lift the whole time.

From the very beginning, through the end of Season 5, there is a VERY subtle, genius level metaphor going on in the intros. After you finish Season 5, maybe go back and watch them all to see if you can spot it. :D

Mineta is the biggest fan of Midnight the R rated hero. Who thinks Bakugo is a fan of AC/DC? T.N.T must be his favourite song lol. Meanwhile Jiro roasted Kaminari, no cool guitar name for him. Well, Chargebolt works well too.

That IS one thing that bugs me about the MHA fan base- the immediate “oh bakugo is my fav character, if you don’t like him you’re missing out on his character” like guuuurl you haven’t given the reactor a chance to SEE any development or vulnerability or anything, they don’t know, let them form their own opinion! 😂

I always thought that this episode was a bit of a breather after the sports fest, not that it was that intense or anything. The part that keeps killing is bakugo's king and Lord explosion murder. Also, Aoyama's can't stop twinkling. The best part, of course, was Izuku choosing his hero name, which, back then, he saw it as an insult, but Uraraka changed it in a meaningful way that Izuku felt to be proud of. What hero name did you think he was gonna pick?

Don't feel bad about not liking Bakugo yet. I'm totally caught up in the series and still can barely stand him. I get what they're trying to do, but like with Mineta Grape Juice, it's too extreme and over the top for me.
