I am a simple person, I see Real Seeds packs on the thumbnail, I click and watch the video 😁 the algorithm brought me here so I've not seen other videos, but one thing I like to see is people explaining _why_ they're growing or choose to grow the varieties they do. From looking on Real Seeds I can see why you chose the Kyoto Market spring onions from their description but other stuff would be useful Plans and designs, changes and alterations, and a seasonal or yearly review of what went great and what didn't go so well would also help because you get so used to things over time that for a newbie it's not always obvious why your decisions are the way they are Happy growing! I have almost all the seeds I need, I just need a garden to plant them in

@positronixartandlife4545 Thanks! That's really useful feedback. The reason I went for Kyoto Market was because I had seen other videos showing how spring onions grown in Japan have a more substantial stem. I will take you advice on board. I'm glad a fellow Real Seeds enthusiast stumbled across my video. Any varieties you have particularly enjoyed from them?

@@ebenezercottagegarden see now that's some fun and useful detail 🙂 I also noticed that they're bunching which means there's the potential to dig them up, split them apart, and replant them to get even more from a sowing Sadly I've not been able to grow too much in my circumstances but the Wautoma cucumbers I tried grew well, as did the Charmette petit pois (sadly looking on their site, the peas are out of stock); for this year I've grabbed the Jacobs Cattle Red & Gold drying beans (even if they're not to my tastes they are gorgeous looking beans and I plan on growing and seed saving anyway), Paul & Becky's Asturian Tree Cabbage (as a cut and come again cabbage), their breadseed poppies, and Diamond aubergine I also have some cima di rapa/broccoli raab (being half Italian, I'm presuming I don't need to tell you what that is 🤭) from seeds of italy as they offer the 40, 60, 90, and 120 day varities. I'd definitely recommend checking them out if you've not done so as they offer a _lot_ of options, including a bunch from the Alpine region which means they shouldn't struggle to grow in our colder UK climate

@positronixartandlife4545 yes I love cime di rapa. I have some of the 120 day variety growing in my greenhouse. You can see me watering them in the opening mintage for this video. I'm probably going to do a cooking video with them in the next couple of weeks. I'm waiting for the buds to appear.

I'm such a failure at onions from seed. Always have been! So much more lovely varieties though. Best of luck with yours. I stick to sets for all my onions (storage, bunching, and green onions) as I rely heavily on my onion crops. Happy New Year Lawrence.
