Y’all have done a beautiful job!! I can’t wait to see it all finished! I am a firm believer that our kids should get to feel a sense of ownership in their rooms. We get to tailor the rest of the house to our personal design aesthetics…so our kids should get to have at least one space that feels like them. Bravo mama!! Loved the video!! ❤

The girls room is really coming along, LOVE everything you have done! Wish I had thought of your old world skimming technique when we removed all our wallpaper from our 1840's Cottage. What if you topped the floor with sisal? You can get it to almost fit exactly and it’s not expensive. Then top the sisal with a vintage or vintage looking rug. That will give you texture and layers. And sisal feels wonderful on bare feet. ❤

Hi Sarah! So sorry you guys have been sick, and i hate that Violet had chicken pox.. my daughter had them when she was in 1st grade. Almost her entire class got them. She was the second one because she sat beside the student who was first to have them. That was great to make A nice profit on the beds! I get it.. Its always starting something for me too! Once I get going I'm usually good. I'm not really crazy about carpet, but it is nice on the bedroom floors on a cold morning! Of course living in Florida I don't worry about cold mornings😄 But in my sons house all 3bdrms have carpet. Its actually about that same color as that big roll you were looking at. Well so far i think its coming out very nicely! I love what you did to the wall, that's so pretty! I'm sure its going to be a beautiful room & the girls will be very happy & proud! You can have carpet and get it made into a large area rug, so it isn't attached to the floor. They edge it for you, and it covers the room. Bet you know thid already, just in case. We did this with carpet for a room one time.

That sister is a treasure. Poor Violet - I had chickenpox when I was a kid and i still suffer until this day with cold-sores and if I get really stressed the dreaded shingles. Guess the trick is to lead a calm and relaxed life. So no more people who drive me nuts ( seems like the cat may have to pack his rucksack 😂) and every hour possible in the garden. Wishing the girls peace and joy in their new room. 🦘🇦🇺
