@swidr5626Ай бұрын
Football was always literally a working class sport but now it’s becoming something that billionaires are wiping their butts with. The only thing we can hope for at this point is that current system (at least in heavily overcharging people for watching games) will collapse and completely stop being sustainable. PL is trying to stop that from happening but in the stupidest way possible because locking poor people up won’t bring you the money they don’t have in. If they would charge reasonable amount and provide a decent service (and by that i literally just mean - give access to all the matches, nothing more) while maintaining the costs instead of letting them skyrocket like crazy, everything would be alright. But now it is literally a huge snowball getting too huge for its own good ready to disintegrate at any time

If you can even get tickets to the stadium, in the first place
@BadgerOff3214 күн бұрын
@@CaptainZangoose Right? I'm a Brighton fan. Getting a ticket to one of their games is a right pain in the arse! You can't just turn up at the gate, on the day, like you used to be able to when I first started supporting them. There is no 'waking up on a Saturday and deciding to go to the match on a whim' anymore, it's got to planned out WEEKS in advance now! You have to register with their website first. Then you're not allowed to buy tickets to any of the bigger matches (like Man City, Arsenal etc) unless you've bought a ton of tickets to other matches over the last 2 or 3 years and built up the right to attend those 'high priority' matches. Then you have to buy the tickets for a specific seat, in a specific part of the stadium, weeks in advance, for way too much money, and more often than not, the best you're able buy a ticket for is a fairly meaningless League Cup game, on a Tuesday night, in a half empty stadium, watching basically a second string youth/reserve team playing against League 2 Doncaster or something. It's why I go to non-league games these days. It's far cheaper, and I can just 'turn up' on a whim.

Valve solved the problem of videogame-piracy in the early 2000s by offering Steam as a service, which allowed its users an easy access to a wide selection of games. That's not the case in todays football broadcasting where you have smaller selections of games spread across different services.

Most people wouldn't have an issue paying for a single game that they're anticipating. The service provider gets way more money than that game is typically valued at and people wouldn't feel cheated.

People would be less likely to watch Premier League games on dodgy streams if they weren't: A) Split between 3 separate legal streaming services that people are expected to subscribe to and juggle if they don't want to pay for all 3 each month (which is most people.) B) Still using that blackout rule on Saturdays where the games aren't televised between 14:25 and 17:25. All this does is alienate non-local club supporters from watching their team.

Why should Canadians, Africans and Australians have better coverage of a football team that's only 10 minutes down the road for me? Just doesn't make sense.

I've said it a million times before, £10 per month to watch all your teams games would stop the majority of piracy that is going on.

The stupid thing is that when those two guys in London got banged up for rebroadcasting all the matches, the police found that the majority of the people subscribing to their illegal service also had Sky etc subscriptions anyway and were only watching games on that illegal service that were not being shown on normal TV. In other words, most of them would not have been subscribed to an illegal service if all of the games were being broadcasted legally. Moreover, the premise that 3pm KO's not being shown on TV to keep people going to matches is proven wrong when you see that the more games are being shown on TV, the more people are going to matches. Showing more games on TV is a win-win for football clubs, not only do they get TV revenue, but the broadcast acts as advertising for people to go to future matches. At this stage, there is no excuse for not broadcasting all matches in the UK. Quite frankly, they could all be shown for free without subscription on regular terrestrial TV on the back of advertising alone.

Ah, the other side of the argument, how refreshing. I think we all agree illegal streaming is wrong but if i can't actually buy the product from you, and I can get it elsewhere, it isn't a question of right and wrong, it is supply and demand. If the options are either watch our teams illegally or not at all most of us are happy to do the wrong thing. It is a core value of football to follow every move your club makes, and sky know this or else they wouldnt fill 2 months every summer with bullshit transfer rumour shows, so to ask fans to voluntarily not view 3pm kick offs is like asking a crack addict to refrain from taking a hit for a few days or you'll have him arrested, oh and don't forget they are also his crack dealer in this scenario and are happy to be profiting off his addiction.

Piracy is A Necessary EVIL 😅😂. The companies should realise charging a house mortgage for 1 month of Premier league banter or worse Mc Donald not Uber eats Ligue 1 ....is bit of a overkill . So there it help . I know it's very bad and your data is just put there but so does Google and other site do with your data legally 😅😂

When i watch F1 ON THE PAID SKY APP im back 1 1/2 minutes (which is "surprisingly" the lenghts of the average advertising they send DIRECTLY before the warm up lap starts....) to live footage and watching it and chatting with people about it is an absolute pain. A friend just this weekend: "HAMILTON CRASHED, RED FLAG, LAP 3" At the same time me: *casually watches the end of lap 1 25 seconds behind is LITERALLY an upgrade compared to the 45 bucks a month "service" sky offers.

VPN and Firestick settings. And no you won't get put in the jail for watching live football streams. You only get jailed for distribution. Anyone that tells your otherwise is flying or misinformed (and probably trying to sell you something like a VPN)

The state of British broadcasting when it comes to the premier league is so bad you cant even watch games legally on the weekend, whoever thought of putting 4 games at the same time should be in prison.

Make a video about the KZbinrs that do “watch along” videos were they commentate on the game. Where are they watching the games from? When they aren’t on tv or even radio. They’re making a lot of money from that content. Blatantly getting away with it too

I hear the argument about 3pm kickoffs, but at the same time there's plenty of people who live in smaller towns that support a big EPL team, and go to their local team on a Saturday at 3pm. A fair few of them might stay home and watch Man United/Arsenal instead if the 3pm blackout was scrapped. There's advantages and disadvantages to it, Im not gonna pretend theres no flaw with the 3pm blackout but it has its merits

The fear of people not turning up if they can watch it on TV is rubbish. Over here in Australia, we have our own code of football (Australian Rules). 9 games a week, all of them broadcast & they still drew an average attendance of about 40-45k. People will still turn up to games because it’s a better atmosphere in the stadium.

money is king, and when companies become increasingly greedy, they do anything they can to squeeze out any penny from their customers. and when the people dont like it, they cant do anything about it. the centre cant hold.
